The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thorn misses with a hook
and Halo counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Halo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Mike Thorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Halo lands with a thumping leg kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Thorn blocks the leg kick.
Thorn misses with a hook. Halo ducked under it nicely. Halo scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Thorn throws a body punch but Halo moves out of range. Halo gets a clinch. A short left from Halo. Thorn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Halo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Halo misses with a body punch.

Thorn cracks Halo with an open hand slap. Thorn has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Halo. Halo scores with a jab to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Halo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Thorn's head.

Halo clinches up with Thorn and pushes him back against the cage. Halo lands with a light punch inside. A short body shot lands from Halo as the two fighters clinch.

Halo lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Thorn. Halo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Thorn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Halo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Thorn's hands. Halo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Thorn under the eye. Halo scoring well with a low kick there.
Halo stuns Thorn with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Halo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Decent striking displayed by Halo there.
Thorn is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Halo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Thorn is still on wobbly legs! Can Halo finish him? Halo grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Thorn takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Halo cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Jenkins. No joy for Adams on that attempt. Adams misses with a takedown and Jenkins counters with a three punch combo that has Adams backing up. Adams nods at Jenkins to acknowledge the strikes. Adams with a lazy takedown attempt and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jenkins shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jenkins is trying to control the action in half guard but Adams is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Adams trying to hold on to Jenkins's head to control him but Jenkins postures up.

Ryan Fitzmagic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! George Swarowski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Fitzmagic keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Swarowski's efforts to push away.
And that's the end of the fight! George Swarowski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Swarowski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Perko Late seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duscaw tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Late misses with an uppercut. Duscaw saw that one coming. Duscaw throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Late changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Late takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Late tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Duscaw was well out of range. Poor timing from Late. Late thows a body shot but no joy. Duscaw thows a body shot but no joy. Late lands a slapping body shot.
Late shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duscaw pinned against the cage. Duscaw gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Late shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duscaw but Duscaw pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brandon Duscaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Perko Late.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duscaw accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Duscaw working some strikes from top position. Late keeping full guard, as Duscaw tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duscaw is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duscaw wants to pass the guard but Late is keeping the position. Duscaw has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Duscaw throws a strike but Late rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Umaga Beeturasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Rosalando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Beeturasa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Metallicas Sanatarium, coming home. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
