Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jorn Nordberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Stelios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dane Stelios told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dane Stelios! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stelios closes the distance and pushes Nordberg back into the cage. Nordberg looking for a takedown. Stelios gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nordberg has hold of Stelios's hands but Stelios slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Stelios looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Nordberg manages to escape and get back to his feet! Nordberg wants to clinch but Stelios slips to the side and Stelios counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nordberg's guard now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nordberg keeping full guard, as Stelios tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stelios accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Nordberg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stelios doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Johnstone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Taison is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. It looks like Name might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paakku tries to clinch but McDonald moves away and McDonald counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Paakku moves to clinch but McDonald breaks away and McDonald counters with a solid body kick. Paakku wants to clinch and McDonald counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Paakku is lucky that one didn't land flush. Paakku has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McDonald. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paakku closes the distance but McDonald moves to the side and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Paakku takes a body punch but keeps moving. Armas Paakku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paakku looks gassed! Paakku tries to clinch but McDonald moves away and McDonald counters with a nice body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - McDonald finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Paakku takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Paakku chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McDonald can pounce on him.
McDonald connects with a solid leg kick. McDonald clinches up with Paakku and pushes him back against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Paakku. McDonald cracks Paakku with a nice body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paakku takes a shot to the head. McDonald's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McDonald lands a slapping body shot.
McDonald moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. McDonald and Paakku are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. McDonald throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Paakku into next week! Ooooh that was huge! McDonald knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Leonov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Leonov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Statement sprawls well. Statement wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leonov gets slowly back to his feet. Vadim Leonov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Statement lands a jab to the head.

Statement slaps away a takedown attempt from Leonov, before circling back to the center of the mat. Pain Statement has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vadim Leonov. Leonov tries to clinch but Statement moves out of range. Leonov looks to land a body kick but Statement moved away. Leonov avoids the body shot from Statement.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rupp. Rupp scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rupp is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. St Pierre knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rupp is working to tighten is grip on St Pierre's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. St Pierre has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rupp is really squeezing tight and eventually St Pierre passes out! Rupp breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
