The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Pendergast misses. Pendergast tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stallone was well out of range. Poor timing from Pendergast. Stallone displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Pendergast throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jab by Stallone. Stallone misses with the combination.

Stallone darts in and out, connecting with a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Pendergast is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stallone. Pendergast doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Pendergast throws a shot from downtown. Stallone moves away and avoids it. Pendergast has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Stallone finds it's way round the side to connect with Pendergast's head. Pendergast looks to throw the jab but Stallone is out of range. Pendergast will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pendergast scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Pendergast connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Stallone momentarily.

Pendergast doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Sloppy strikes from Pendergast. Those never looked like landing. Pendergast tries to bum rush Stallone with a series of wild strikes but Stallone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Danga de danga de dang - Stallone scores with a four punch combination! Pendergast has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Stallone sizes up Pendergast with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Stallone scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Stallone avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stallone is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Stallone throws a good cross that connects.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stallone throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A nice combination there by Stallone.

Stallone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pendergast circles away quickly and effectively. Pendergast throws a body punch but Stallone moves out of range. Stallone tests Pendergast's chin there with a solid looking shot. Stallone misses with a wild body shot. Pendergast ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stallone moves away. A nice combination there by Stallone.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Stallone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pendergast throws out the jab. Stallone throws a right and a left that both miss. Stallone ducks under a wild hook from Pendergast. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones rushes Beck and presses him up against the cage.
Beck is rocked! Beck looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Beck is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him? An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jones. Jones scores with a shoulder strike. Jones is trying to push Beck away but Beck has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Beck blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jones has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Beck has clasped his hands together around Jones's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Jones wants to control but Beck postures up. Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones is trying to control but can't.
Jones is controlling Beck's position as best he can from this difficult position. Jones is looking to control Beck's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jones avoid being mounted? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frank Jones has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Jones throws a head kick that misses. Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jones stands up. Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jones misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Jones scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Beck is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Jones can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Through PO closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Filipovic sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Filipovic looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Salsep looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Madison dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Madison punishes Salsep's body with a nice straight punch. Salsep tries to clinch but Madison moves out of range. Madison wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Madison scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Salsep doesn't seem bothered though. Salsep looks gassed! Madison fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Madison lands a left and a right that send Salsep crashing to the mat, dazed. Madison thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Rui Salsep has been cut. OH! Salsep has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Madison smells blood and charges in for the finish! Madison unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Salsep sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Almeida keeping moving, preventing Rodrigo from controlling successfully. Almeida looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rodrigo is one step ahead there. Rodrigo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Almeida is keeping the position for now.
