3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderlei Silva! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! OReily is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva's half guard. OReily performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva is trying to escape back to his feet but OReily uses the scramble to pass into side control.
OReily content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. OReily tries to move into full mount but can't pass Silva's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. OReily is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Silva wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! A lull in the action here as OReily stalls from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ryan OReily just wasn't active enough. OReily throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and OReily finishes the takedown easily into guard. OReily looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from OReily. OReily shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. You get the feeling that Silva really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Silva prevents OReily from taking his back. OReily controlling the pace for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan OReily dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
OReily closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Silva's guard. OReily is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. OReily's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. OReily prevents Silva from getting back to his feet. Silva is wriggling around but OReily manages to pass to half guard.

Ryan OReily overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Bowers tries to clinch there but Kim circles away.
Kim with a nice cross. Kim connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Bowers tumbling to the canvas! Kim pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Bowers was done - good stoppage!

Leites dives in and grabs Spooner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Spooner pushes down on Leites's head and hops out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Leites shoots for a double leg takedown but Spooner sprawls well. He's pushed Leites's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Del Spooner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thales Leites. Leites showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Spooner.

BJ Penn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Penn looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Penn has a closed guard, preventing Alves from standing up. Michael Alves is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Alves wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving. Alves is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Alves trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alves tries to stand but Penn is controlling from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Alves showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Alves, winning every round. Will the judges agree? Iranovichk tries to land knees in the clinch but Alexander avoids the damage to the body. Iranovichk tries to score a body lock takedown but Alexander shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Alexander has clasped his hands together around Iranovichk's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Alexander wants to control for a moment but Iranovichk uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Iranovichk wants to control but Alexander passes into side.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coolguy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bluthe swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bluthe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coolguy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bluthe slaps away a takedown attempt from Coolguy, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bluthe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coolguy. Bluthe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Coolguy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Coolguy turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Coolguy manages to end up in side control. Bluthe is working to avoid the ground and pound but Coolguy connects with a decent elbow. Coolguy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bluthe keeping moving, preventing Coolguy from controlling successfully. Bluthe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Coolguy defends well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bluthe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coolguy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coolguy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

No, Coolguy has managed to get both his arms back between Bluthe's legs - danger averted. Coolguy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Coolguy stands up from Bluthe's guard - Coolguy perhaps looking for a knockout. Coolguy fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cris Coolguy. Coolguy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bluthe paws at him with a jab and circles away. A close third round but Gob Bluthe just about did enough to take it. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bluthe is fighting the takedown attempt but Coolguy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Bluthe is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Bluthe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bluthe is looking to sinch up a triangle. Coolguy throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bluthe's body to avoid the submission. Bluthe has instead reached around Coolguy's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bluthe arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
