The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Evans, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Evans fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stone avoids it really well and circles away.
Stone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A clash of legs there as Stone blocks the low kick.
Stone throws out a loose jab but Evans uses good head movement to avoid it.
Stone throws a shot to the body.
Stone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Evans moves away.
Stone lands with a nice combination. Evans backs away looking to recover.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Evans forces Stone back against the cage and clinches.

Stone decides to pull guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Evans accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Stone has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Evans has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Evans is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stone, into his guard.

Stone keeping moving, preventing Evans from controlling successfully.

Stone has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Evans is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Stone.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Evans looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stone connects with a good right hand that stumbles Evans. Evans circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Stone dances in with a quick combination. Evans is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Stone snaps Evans's head back. Evans stumbles backwards against the cage. Stone steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Evans's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Evans just didn't come prepared.

Barton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
