Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Midget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Layne Staley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Midget might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This. Staley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Alice in Chains - No Excuses. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Midget throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A left lands for Midget.
Staley misses the jab.
Staley looks to land a right hand but Midget moved out of range.
Midget displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Staley throws out the jab.
Layne Staley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Staley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Midget connects with a single shot there.

It looks like Layne Staley has been cut.
Staley looks to land a left hand but Midget moved out of range nicely.
Staley walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Staley throws a low kick but Midget moves out of range easily.
Midget is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Midget uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Staley has time to react.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Midget drops his hands momentarily and Staley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Staley shoots in but no luck this time.
Staley lunges at Midget with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Midget's hand.
Midget delivers a nice body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Masaru Midget is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Staley shoots in looking for a takedown. Midget tries to sprawl out of it but Staley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Midget manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Staley's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Midget connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Staley scrambles back to his feet.
Staley throws an overhand right that lands on Midget's shoulder, as Midget tries to avoid the shot.
Staley takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Staley on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Midget throws a right and a left that Staley avoids nicely.
Midget uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Staley.
Midget throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Midget is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Midget lands with a right hand.
Midget looks for the body kick but Staley saw that one coming.
Midget displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Staley.

Midget lands a head kick. Staley smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Staley is trying desperately to land a takedown but Midget is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Staley.

Midget lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Staley is still on wobbly legs! Can Midget finish him?
Midget plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Staley swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Staley face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
