The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jiminez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Jiminez tries to clinch and Durant counters with a one-two to the body. Durant lands with a right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jiminez wants to clinch and Durant counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jiminez is rocked! Durant throws an overhand right that lands on Jiminez's shoulder, as Jiminez tries to avoid the shot. Jiminez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jiminez closes the distance looking to clinch and Durant counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Drake Durant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jiminez walks into a jab. Durant just misses with a punch to the body.
Jiminez wants to clinch but Durant slips to the side and Durant counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Durant throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jiminez.

Jiminez tries to clinch up and Durant counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Jiminez darts in trying to clinch and Durant counters with a left to the body. Durant is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jiminez closes the distance but Durant moves to the side and Durant counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Durant misses with a series of wild punches.

Jiminez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jiminez seems to have recovered his senses. Jiminez throws a wild hook but Durant just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Jiminez gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Durant raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Winnie works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Winnie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. O Shaunessy controls Winnie momentarily but Winnie frees himself. Winnie is in close to O Shaunessy's body, working some short punches and elbows. Winnie cracks O Shaunessy with a solid left hand. O Shaunessy wants to sweep but no luck. Winnie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Winnie accidentally thumps the mat. Winnie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks O Shaunessy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

O Shaunessy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Winnie scores with a couple of nice shots. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Winnie slips a nice elbow through O Shaunessy's hands, connecting with O Shaunessy's forehead. Winnie controlling the pace. Ground and pound from Winnie. Winnie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that O Shaunessy can do to turn this around? Winnie prevents O Shaunessy from improving his position. Winnie working O Shaunessy over with strikes. O Shaunessy is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag. O Shaunessy is looking for a sweep. Winnie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Winnie seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Winnie working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Poe Winnie wasn't doing enough on the ground. O Shaunessy clinches up with Winnie and pushes him back against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Winnie has O Shaunessy pressed against the cage.
Winnie drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that's the end of the fight! Poe Winnie showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Winnie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bubu could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bubu wants to clinch and Barnett decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bubu's guard. Barnett stands up and waves to Bubu to follow him. Barnett closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bubu did well to prevent Barnett getting side control. Bubu taking some punishment here, with Barnett in his half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bubu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barnett swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bubu has a takedown stuffed. Bubu is breathing heavily. Barnett fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bubu, pushing him back against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Barnett takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Barnett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Barnett drives through and clinches with Bubu against the cage.

Durant dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ionescu. That did some damage! Ionescu tries for a takedown but Durant sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Durant throws a combination. Ionescu tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
