1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rafael Gracie! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Diaz prevents Gracie from improving his position. The fighters are battling for position here. Gracie manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Diaz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Gracie is looking for a triangle but Diaz pushes his legs off easily.
Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Diaz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Diaz has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Diaz connects with a couple of short punches. Diaz looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Diaz is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up. Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Diaz is retaining full guard. Diaz wants to sweep but no luck. Gracie passes Diaz's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gracie is looking for a kimura here.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Diaz is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Diaz defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Gracie. Gracie looking to control but Diaz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Diaz is trying to escape the mount.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Diaz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Gracie unloading with bombs! Gracie dominating with strikes here. Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diaz is looking to escape. Diaz bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Diaz defends it easily. Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gracie looking to control.
Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Diaz defends well. Diaz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gracie working a defensive guard here.
Diaz postures up in Gracie's guard and throws a big left but Gracie blocks it. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Rafael Gracie dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Diaz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gracie looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gracie looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gracie! Gracie connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Diaz some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Diaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diaz has escaped the position, nice work there. Gracie working the head with strikes. Diaz is looking for a sweep.
Gracie has hold of Diaz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Diaz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Diaz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Diaz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rafael Gracie! Rafael Gracie was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Reed fails with a takedown attempt. Ripley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reed circles away quickly and effectively. Ripley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ripley throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Reed takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ripley shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Reed is trying to defend but Ripley finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ripley is working for a submission of some sort.
Ripley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reed is just riding it out for now. Ripley eventually gives up the hold. Reed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ripley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Reed pushes Ripley off looking to stand but Ripley dives back in and keeps control.

Ripley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Reed has one foot on Ripley's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Ripley wants to clinch up but Reed keeps it at a distance. Ripley ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Ripley fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ripley tries for a takedown but Reed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ripley looks to land a combination but Reed avoids it well. Reed throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ripley counters with a lovely straight right hand! Reed fails with a takedown attempt. Mr Ripley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of josh Reed. Reed looks gassed! Ripley tries to clinch but Reed moves out of range.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ripley dives in and grabs Reed's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reed pushes down on Ripley's head and hops out. Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ripley swats him away and circles back towards the center. Reed fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ripley stuffs the takedown. Ripley with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Ripley closes the distance and clinches. Reed has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ripley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ripley jumps guard and drags Reed to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ripley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reed defends well. Reed throws and elbow that misses. Ripley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Reed's guard. Nice move by Ripley!

josh Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ripley!
Ripley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Reed steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ripley. That one must have hurt.
Ripley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ripley showed some decent athleticism there.
Ripley is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reed defends it well. Ripley passes the guard and advances to mount! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ripley raining down shots from the mount! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Ripley dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ripley misses with a wild combination.
A combination from Reed does no damage. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Horrible takedown by Ripley or perhaps it was just good defense by Reed which made him look bad. Ripley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reed pinned against the cage. Reed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Reed misses with the combination.
Ripley feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Reed's calf. Reed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ripley scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ripley stalks Reed and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Reed's face. Reed staggers backwards, shaken. Reed is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reed shoots in and drives through. Ripley sprawls well. No joy there for Reed, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reed tries to clinch but Ripley is having none of it. Ripley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reed. That did some damage!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ripley throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
 Reed is rocked!
Ripley decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Reed is still in real trouble! Can Ripley finish him? Reed on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Ripley stands up and beckons Reed to join him on the feet. Ripley knocks out Reed with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Ripley before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Ripley picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Atreides tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rampaasi throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Atreides because Rampaasi loaded up on that one. Rampaasi pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
 It looks like Leto II Atreides has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rampaasi misses with a head shot. Rampaasi throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Rampaasi throws some wild stikes that Atreides manages to avoid easily.
Atreides in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Atreides is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Atreides is looking to get to half guard. Rampaasi scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Atreides?

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franchise ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gump has closed the distance and engaged Franchise in a clinch.
Franchise is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Gump lands a hook that snaps the head of Franchise backwards. Franchise jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gump walks away with a smile on his face. Franchise gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Gump misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Franchise is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gump sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Franchise missing with a left hand there. Gump was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gump dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A slow jab from Franchise misses its intended target. Gump looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gump lands a nice leg kick that just misses Franchise's sensitive parts. Franchise looks gassed! A jab from Franchise misses. Gump is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Franchise.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gump connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Gump comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Gump looks to land a combination but Franchise avoids it well. Franchise fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Gump lands a big right hand that sends Franchise crashing to the mat! Gump stays standing though and waves Franchise back to his feet!
 Franchise is rocked! Gump lands a leg kick that knocks Franchise off balance momentarily. Franchise is still on wobbly legs! Can Gump finish him? Gump lands with a nice low kick.
