The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pepper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pepper throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Pepper misses with a straight left. Pepper scores with a hook. Pepper works over Markakis's head and body with a nice combination. Markakis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pepper! Markakis throwing strikes here but Pepper is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Markakis tries to control but Pepper wriggling away. Markakis throws some wild stikes that Pepper manages to avoid easily.
Markakis is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pepper to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pepper shrugs it off. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pepper is looking to improve his position but Markakis isn't that keen on the idea.

Markakis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Markakis lands with some strikes. Markakis is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pepper is surviving well by controlling Markakis's body position as best he can. Markakis jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pepper is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pepper and Markakis has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Right on cue, Markakis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Pepper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pepper really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. BOOM! Markakis connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Pepper is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Markakis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pepper pinned against the cage. Pepper gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pepper lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Markakis backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pepper misses with a wild combination.

and Markakis counters with a single leg into guard. Pepper didn't expect that. Markakis trying to control the position from guard on top but Pepper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pepper looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Markakis gets to his feet. Markakis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Markakis. Peter Pepper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pepper clinches with his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pepper makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Florendo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cruise's waist but Cruise gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Florendo off to one side. Cruise rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Florendo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cruise rushes Florendo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cruise throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Florendos head. Florendo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cruise uses from the top position. Florendo trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cruise wants to control from the top but Florendo keeps moving. Florendo looking for a sweep. Not yet Florendo, not yet.

I think Aalto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to .. Jose Smith struggled to make weight for this fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast ducks under a wild hook from ORielly. Beast misses with a looping right. Danga de danga de dang - ORielly scores with a four punch combination! Beast misses with a series of wild punches.

ORielly lands with an uppercut that bounces Beast off the cage and back into range. Beast throws out a token jab with nothing on it. ORielly tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. ORielly throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Beast takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Beast fakes high and swings low for a body shot but ORielly manages to avoid it. ORielly throws a poor cross that misses
and Beast counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Beast feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits ORiellys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Beast tries to land a leg kick but ORielly saw it coming and moves away.
ORielly lands with an overhand left. ORielly tests Beast's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Beast is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beast throws a low kick but ORielly avoids it. Oh Beast is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! ORielly moves in close and cracks Beast with a massive right hand! Beast, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by ORielly!
