 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Washington misses. Nice takedown defense from Washington. No joy for Less on that attempt. Less shoots in for a double leg but Washington sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Less tries to close the distance and clinch up but Washington swats him away and circles back towards the center. Washington lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
 It looks like Kriss Less has been cut. Less misses with a takedown attempt - Washington sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kriss Less. That's going to take a lot out of him. Washington swinging wildly here.
Washington throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Washington tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Less was well out of range. Poor timing from Washington. Washington connects with a looping right hand.

and Kelly decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in King's guard. King is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. King is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. King is looking to pass Kelly's guard but actually Kelly recovers to full guard. King wants to control from the top but Kelly keeps moving.

Deans shoots in looking for a takedown but Fistkov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Deans's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fistkov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Deans. Deans throws a looping overhand right but Fistkov ducks down to avoid it. Fistkov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Deans avoids it really well and circles away.
Fistkov tries to sprawl but Deans drives through with a takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fistkov tries to roll over but Deans keeps him under control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Deans tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Fistkov. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Deans stands up and waves to Fistkov to follow him. Deans tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Deans scores with a head kick.

Deans closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fistkov's guard.

Ronnie Boxer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Yager misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Yager slips under a jab from Boxer. Boxer jabs at Yager's body. Boxer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Yager gets a clinch. Boxer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Yager tries to land knees in the clinch but Boxer avoids the damage to the body.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Yager using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Boxer has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boxer works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Boxer tries to work over Yager's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Boxer wants to get back to striking at distance but Yager won't allow it.

Boxer is trying to break free. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A battle for position here, against the cage. Boxer tries to circle away but Yager has him pinned against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boxer is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxer is trying to escape the position but Yager is controlling the position. I wouldn't like to be where Boxer is right now. Boxer is not content to let Yager control the position. Yager grinds an elbow into Boxer's temple.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxer is not content to let Yager control the position. Boxer wants to get back to his feet. Boxer tries to bench press Yager off him but Yager keeps the position. Yager throws an elbow but Boxer slips to the side and avoids it well.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Yager tries to advance to mount but can't. A lull in the action here as Yager stalls from top position. Yager lands an elbow. Boxer wants to get back to his feet. Yager misses with the ground and pound.
