4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, rocky punch! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! wall scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. wall wants to stand but punch has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. punch wants to control but wall is keeping busy.
wall decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. punch is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. punch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and wall counters with a single leg into guard. punch didn't expect that. wall might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. punch trying to control the position here. punch wants to stand and escape but wall is having none of it.

Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Wright is defending well for now. star looking for a takedown. star is trying to break free. star takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like quick star has been cut. star jumps into guard, dragging Wright to the mat.

Sav closes this distance looking for a takedown but master circles away. master scores with a head kick.
It looks like Joe Sav has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sav throws a leg kick which misses master's front leg but catches the back leg as master tries to avoid it. master slaps away a takedown attempt from Sav, before circling back to the center of the mat. master forces Sav back against the ropes and clinches. Sav tries to score a body lock takedown but master shows good agility there to stay on his feet. heavy master has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Sav. A nice glancing elbow lands by master. Sav goes for a takedown in the clinch but master prevents it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Danga de danga de dang - master scores with a four punch combination! master throws a wild body kick that Sav sees coming a mile off. master throws a nice inside leg kick. A nice leg kick lands there from master. master scores with a head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. master looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Sav with a lazy takedown attempt and master counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. heavy master has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Sav postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. master defending against the ground and pound. master misses with a strike from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! master struggling a bit here. Sav is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but master is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sav tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
