Power is looking to land body kicks.
Power avoids the body shot from Machida.
Crunch! Power slams his shin into Machida's torso.
Dameon Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Power checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Power shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Power throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Machida stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Machida fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Machida tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Machida gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Machida lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Power out cold! Power is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

After winning the bout, Dameon Machida thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Harvey.
Harvey wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nice shot lands for Matthews.
Matthews throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Harvey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Matthews tries to avoid it but Harvey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Matthews to the ground. Matthews escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Matthews throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Harvey tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Matthews is in Harvey's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Harvey looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Matthews puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Matthews is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harvey is just riding it out for now. Matthews eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Brian Harvey will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Matthews swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Matthews stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Matthews wants it to stay on the feet.
Harvey misses with an uppercut. Matthews saw that one coming.
Harvey is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Harvey feints and as Matthews raises his hands in defense, Harvey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brian Harvey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Matthews wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Harvey manages to pass to side control.
Harvey is taking a breather. Matthews says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Harvey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Matthews does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Harvey connects with a nice short shot to Matthews's temple.

No joy there for Matthews, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Harvey has his feet on Matthews's thighs here. He's pushed Matthews off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Matthews screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
