 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber tries to close the distance and clinch but Santos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A jab from Santos misses. Faber tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Faber shoots in for a double leg but Santos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Faber shoots in and drives through. Santos sprawls well. Faber fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Santos avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Urijah Faber. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos blocks a head kick by Faber.
Andre Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Faber.
Santos is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Faber's half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Santos wants to pass to mount but Faber is defending the position. Santos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Faber is trying to control but can't.

 Andre Santos has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Faber shoots in for a takedown but Santos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Santos misses with a hook. Faber ducked under it nicely. Faber ducks under a wild hook from Santos. No luck with that takedown attempt from Faber. Santos misses with a looping left. Faber fails with a takedown attempt.

Faber tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Santos misses with a looping right. Santos throws a hook to the side of Faber's head but Faber sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Faber shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Santos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Faber's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Faber keeping full guard, as Santos tries to pass. Santos pushing down on Faber's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Santos trying to control the pace. Faber on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Faber tries to get out of the position.

Santos seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Faber is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mines shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sabella counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mines has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sabella can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maui lands an overhand right. Bruce Irvin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maui ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Irvin moves away. Irvin slips under a jab from Maui. Maui looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Irvin is looking to chop away at Maui's legs. Irvin staying out of range there. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Maui. Irvin stuffs the takedown. Irvin misses with a head kick.
Irvin closes the distance and clinches. Nice elbow from Irvin.
 It looks like David Maui has been cut. Maui tries to break free but Irvin pushes him back against the cage.
Irvin drops Maui with a big knee straight up the middle! Maui is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
 Maui is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maui scores with the left hand. Irvin knows he should have avoided that one. Oh Maui is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Maui throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Irvin moves into range and clinches up with Maui. Maui wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Irvin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Maui's defenses. Irvin lands a damaging elbow.
 David Maui's cut is getting worse. Irvin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Maui blocks it with crossed arms. Maui takes a knee to the side of the body. Maui is breathing heavily. Irvin lands a damaging elbow. Irvin lands an elbow inside. Irvin lands a nice uppercut. The two fighters are battling for control here. Maui trying to break out of Irvin's Thai clinch. Irvin unloads with a massive knee right up the middle that drops Maui to the canvas! He's out cold! Wow, what a knee by Irvin!
