The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siap closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gurgel to the mat! Gurgel manages to get full guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Gurgel looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Siap is defending well. Gurgel quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Siap has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gurgel celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz needs to keep his hands up - Balakubak had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Victor Cruz has been cut. Cruz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sloppy strikes from Balakubak. Those never looked like landing. Balakubak looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Balakubak lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cruz's sensitive parts. Balakubak rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Balakubak wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Balakubak shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cruz eats them both and turns towards Balakubak to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cruz tries to keep at a distance but Balakubak has taken the fight into the clinch. Balakubak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Balakubak looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Balakubak is trying to break the clinch but Cruz has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balakubak tries to break free but Cruz pushes him back against the cage. Balakubak wants the takedown. Cruz is fighting it off but Balakubak persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cruz's guard against the cage. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Cruz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Balakubak defends well. Balakubak wants to control from the top but Cruz keeps moving. Balakubak wants to pass the guard but Cruz is keeping the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Boy Balakubak wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cruz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Balakubak is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cruz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boy Balakubak has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Cruz tries to sprawl but Balakubak drives through with a takedown into half guard. Balakubak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Balakubak trying to control from half guard but Cruz is working away. Balakubak trying to mount his opponent but Cruz defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Balakubak trying to control from Cruz's half guard. Cruz has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Balakubak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Balakubak wants to stand but Cruz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cruz keeping full guard, as Balakubak tries to pass. Balakubak looking to sit in guard and control but Cruz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Balakubak looking for a sweep. Not yet Balakubak, not yet. Cruz is breathing heavily. Balakubak is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Balakubak wants to get back to his feet but Cruz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Balakubak looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cruz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Cruz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Balakubak screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Cruz! Nice submission victory there!

Hansen comes to the cage accompanied by This City - Patrick Stump. Hayden Hansen had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. It looks like Hayden Hansen has been cut. Mitchell lands a big uppercut and Hansen crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hansen looks OK. Mitchell waves Hansen back to his feet!
Hansen is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mitchell plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Hansen swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Hansen face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Ferguson closes the distance and clinches up with Lee, looking for a takedown. Ferguson pushes Lee against the cage but Lee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lee throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Lee clinches with his opponent.

Kamahawe Ole lands with a nice combination. Miles backs away looking to recover. Kamahawe Ole gets tackled into the cage by Miles. Miles maintains the clinch. Miles misses with a punch to the body.

Mitch Miles is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Miles working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kamahawe Ole doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kamahawe Ole manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. This has been an exciting period of action! Miles is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Hahar let out a lung full of air as it connected. Musashi softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steptoe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Karlsson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Karlsson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Steptoe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Karlsson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. James Steptoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Karlsson forces Steptoe back against the cage and clinches. Steptoe is trying to pull guard but Karlsson has him pressed against the cage. Steptoe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Karlsson to keep the fight standing. Jimmy Karlsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Steptoe. Karlsson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Steptoe is trying to keep an underhook but Karlsson manages to get the takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steptoe on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Karlsson is trying to control. Steptoe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Karlsson is looking to take a break and control but Steptoe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Steptoe wants to get back to his feet. Karlsson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Steptoe has escaped the position, nice work there. Karlsson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Steptoe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

They are putting on a show! Karlsson breaks from Steptoe's wrist control and lands an elbow. Steptoe is trying to stand up. Karlsson tries to control but Steptoe wriggling away. Steptoe is bucking up trying to escape but Karlsson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Karlsson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Steptoe can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durty lands a nice shot to the body.
Durty stalks Konda and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Konda's face. Konda staggers backwards, shaken. Konda shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Durty as he avoids it easily. Konda shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Konda takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jab, jab by Durty - just one landing. Konda drops his hands momentarily and Durty takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Durty displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Konda throws out the jab. Durty moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Durty scores with a nice strike. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Konda tries to score a power double leg takedown but Durty sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Konda somewhat. Konda takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Konda tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Durty swivels and escapes. Tyler Durty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akira Konda. Konda shoots for a takedown but Durty saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Konda with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Durty to score with a decent uppercut. Konda needs to keep his hands up - Durty had a free shot at his head there. Durty is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Durty connects with a good right hand that stumbles Konda. Konda circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Konda is rocked! Durty connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Konda covering up! Durty comes in with a big uppercut and Konda goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chen misses with an uppercut. Shikishima saw that one coming. A telegraphed right hand from Chen misses the target. Jab, jab by Chen - just one landing. Shikishima throws a lazy head kick and Chen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Shikishima looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Shikishima throws a low kick but Chen moves out of range easily. A head kick misses from Chen. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Chen tries to clinch but Shikishima is having none of it. Shikishima dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chen. That did some damage! Shikishima throws a looping overhand right but Chen ducks down to avoid it. Chen forces Shikishima back against the cage and clinches. Chen lands a body punch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shikishima's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Shikishima is trying to break the clinch but Chen has him pressed against the cage. Chen misses with the head strike.

Shikishima tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Chen lands a jab. Shikishima throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Chen misses with a looping right. Shikishima throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Chen looks to land a combination but Shikishima avoids it well. Chen misses the jab. Chen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shikishima's sensitive parts. Chen lands a nice hook to Shikishima's body. Shikishima takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Shikishima looks gassed! Good work by Shikishima as he checks the leg kick. Shikishima pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chen cracks Shikishima with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Good standup being displayed there by Chen as he connects with a hook. Shikishima bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Shikishima chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Chen can pounce on him.
