17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Rider! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rider throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cohen misses with a low kick.
Cohen throws a big shot that misses. Rider misses with a wild body shot. Cohen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rider sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rider fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cohen checks it well. Cohen works the jab nicely. Cohen avoids the head kick by Rider.
Rider misses with an uppercut. Cohen saw that one coming. Cohen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rider's guard. Cohen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rider dives on top into guard. Rider throwing strikes but missing. Rider preventing the sweep.

Rider stays in close to Cohen's body and controls the position. Cohen looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from Drennan finds it's target. That kick from Drennan tenderised Palhares's leg. Palhares is trying to keep his angry face on. Palhares shoots and misses and Drennan counters with an inside leg kick. Palhares with a lazy takedown attempt and Drennan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Drennan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Palhares shoots and misses and Drennan counters with a straight right hand. Gary Drennan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Housimar Palhares. Drennan thumps Palhares with a low kick. Palhares takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drennan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Palhares. That did some damage! Drennan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Palhares's sensitive parts. Palhares looks gassed! Drennan scores with a head kick. Palhares tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Drennan throws a quick inside leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Palhares is defended easily by Drennan. Drennan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Palhares misses with a takedown attempt and Drennan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Drennan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Palhares gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Styles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Terell wants to get back to his feet but Styles is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Terell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Styles trying to control but Terell is working from the bottom.
