The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - El Sayed looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Tweedy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

El Sayed's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Ben Tweedy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee warns El Sayed that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Tweedy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
El Sayed takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Tweedy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
El Sayed is still in real trouble! Can Tweedy finish him?

Tweedy postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked El Sayed badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Tweedy around the waist but Tweedy pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Tweedy is the winner by TKO! Tweedy jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Foran comes into the arena with Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Foran throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Foran tries to bum rush Chiba with a series of wild strikes but Chiba uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A left and a right from Foran both land. Nice combination.
Foran misses with a double jab

and Chiba counters with a nice double leg into side control. Foran won't be happy with that.

Chiba wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Foran, who protects the arm well.
Foran tries to bench press Chiba off him but Chiba keeps the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chiba tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chiba has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Chiba is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Foran is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chiba has an Americana. Foran didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Chiba is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Chiba hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Hale ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hale no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Kate wants to get up but he can't break Hale's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hale working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kate doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hale is tightening it up a little... Kate has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kate reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kate taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hale!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
