The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Pihl fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pihl dodges the punch combination from Yuy.
Pihl tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Yuy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pihl looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Yuy throws a series of punches but Pihl avoids them all with ease.
Yuy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sox really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Yuudai's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Yuudai connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sox. Sox circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Sox lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

The crowd cheers as Sox lands an impressive looking overhand right. Yuudai doesn't seem phased though.
Yuudai shoots in looking for a takedown. Sox tries to sprawl out of it but Yuudai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Yuudai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
El Senor Sox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takeshi Yuudai.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sox lands a big uppercut and Yuudai crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Yuudai looks OK. Sox waves Yuudai back to his feet!
Yuudai is still on wobbly legs! Can Sox finish him?

Sox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yuudai shoots in but Sox avoids the takedown attempt easily.
and Sox counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Yuudai! He's just covering up as Sox starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

El Senor Sox really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that XTREME PWNAGE: Down Under! $20 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
