Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terence Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Doctor's Theme. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Terence Lee! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee fails with the takedown. A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet. Lee scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lee creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Smith sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working. Smith is trying to control Lee's posture but Lee avoids it. Smith parries the strikes from Lee easily there. Lee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Smith to escape.
Smith is not content to let Lee control the position. Lee connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smith some visible discomfort.
Smith manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lee's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working. Lee throwing shots but Smith is blocking nicely. Smith blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lee. Lee looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Lee works his way into side control. Lee scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Smith to see if he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith seems a little lost for a moment, as Lee dominates the positioning. Smith manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Smith on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Lee working Smith over with strikes. Smith is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lee's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lee's back! Smith working for a choke but Lee is defending well. Lee is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Smith tightening his grip on Lee, looking for the choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee is trying to get back to his feet but Smith has full control of the position and if anything, Lee has just worked his way into a worse spot. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Smith's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Smith punching from mount but Lee doing a good job of avoiding damage. Smith tries to control but Lee wriggling away. Smith throws some wild stikes that Lee manages to avoid easily.
Lee is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lee is looking to escape. Smith is looking to work his way around to Lee's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lee has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lee! Lee passes into half guard. Ground and pound from Lee. Lee trying to control from half guard but Smith is working away. Lee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Smith kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Lee looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Lee works his way into full mount! Lee prevents Smith from getting the reversal. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smith knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lee slips a nice elbow through Smith's hands, connecting with Smith's forehead. Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lee is working away from the top position though. Lee missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lee drops an elbow to the side of Smith's head. Smith gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Smith looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lee is one step ahead there. Smith has momentary wrist control but Lee slips an elbow through the middle. Lee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard. Lee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Smith misses with a body shot.
Lee slips under a jab. Smith misses with a wild body shot. Lee with a poor takedown and Smith counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lee! Lee is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foreman scores with a jab. Foreman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Histon. Histon dodges the punch combination from Foreman.
Foreman looks to land a left hand but Histon moved out of range nicely. Histon fails with a takedown attempt. Histon looks for a takedown but Foreman sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alf Histon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Foreman connects with a right hand. Histon shakes it off. Histon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Foreman. A swing and a miss from Foreman. Foreman looks to land a combination. Histon sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Histon looks to land a combination. Foreman sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Foreman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Histon momentarily.

Histon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Histon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Foreman is trying to stand up here but Histon is controlling him well. Histon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Foreman is just riding it out for now. Histon eventually gives up the hold. Foreman is refusing to be controlled, as Histon sits in half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Histon shoots in and bounces Foreman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Foreman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Histon is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Histon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Histon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Histon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Foreman keeping moving, preventing Histon from controlling successfully. Foreman wants to stand but Histon is controlling the position. Eric Foreman dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Foreman stuffs the takedown. Histon shoots in for a takedown but Foreman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Good exchange - Foreman coming out on top. Foreman defending well as Histon loads up on a big left hand. Foreman lands with a cross. Foreman loads up on a big right hand but Histon slips the punch. Histon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Histon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Foreman circles away. Histon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Histon shoots for a takedown but Foreman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Foreman could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Histon has cracked it and Foreman is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Histon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speedman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tosh to the mat! Tosh manages to get full guard. Speedman has gone for a leg lock! Tosh slips out almost immediately though and dives into Speedman's guard. Tosh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Speedman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Speedman is looking to sinch up a triangle. Tosh throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Speedman's body to avoid the submission. Speedman has instead reached around Tosh's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Speedman arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schrute is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reiplinger. A big left from Schrute misses. Reiplinger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Reiplinger misses with a straight left. Reiplinger takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Rap Reiplinger has been cut. Reiplinger tries to clinch up but Schrute circles away and keeps his distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Reiplinger looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Schrute throws a hook but Reiplinger avoids it easily. Reiplinger is looking to clinch but Schrute is avoiding it.

Reiplinger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Reiplinger advances to mount. Schrute is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
