The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stann throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Chesner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stann swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Chesner or perhaps it was just good defense by Stann which made him look bad.
The fighters circling - Stann throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Chesner closes the distance and clinches.

Mir tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shooter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice straight punches there by Mir. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mir.
Shooter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Shooter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mir to the ground. Shooter is now in Mir's guard.
Mir wants to sweep but no luck.
Shooter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Mir controls Shooter momentarily but Shooter frees himself.

Mir is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
