The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tsvetkov quickly recovers to half guard.
Tsvetkov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Thompson wants to work for an arm triangle but Tsvetkov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tsvetkov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tsvetkov wants to control but Thompson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Thompson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Tsvetkov is looking to control Thompson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tsvetkov avoid being mounted?

Thompson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thompson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thompson wants it to stay on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tsvetkov enables Thompson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tsvetkov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Thompson drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Thompson seems to have locked his on tight now - Tsvetkov screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Thompson, as he picks up the win!

Hill misses with a takedown attempt - Dios sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Dios gets back to half guard.
Hill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dios does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hill is in close to Dios's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Dios really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hill throws an elbow that misses. Dios uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hill's guard. Nice move by Dios!

Hill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dios gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hill lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dios!
Dios is bucking up trying to escape but Hill cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hill swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Mastadon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alvarez tries to avoid it but Mastadon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alvarez to the ground. Alvarez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ripley is trying hard to land a takedown here. Atreides sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Atreides's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jacobs comes to the cage accompanied by Green River - CCR. Cesar comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Saliva - Superstar kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild!
