The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooking has his takedown stuffed and Williams counters with a leg kick. Williams moves into range and clinches up with Brooking. Williams stops a takedown attempt from Brooking.
Williams breaks from the clinch.
Williams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brooking is trying to defend but Williams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brooking tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Brooking looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are battling for position here. Brooking manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brooking has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Brooking's legs - danger averted. Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Brooking has wrist control. Brooking keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Brooking is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Williams defends well. Williams slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Brooking manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brooking wants to control but Williams is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are battling for position here. Brooking manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Brooking looking for a guillotine here but Williams defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams stands and throws Brooking's legs to the side, diving into side control. Brooking is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Brooking is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Williams's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Williams is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Williams is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Brooking.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Goldtooth is fending him off so far but Alexander persists. Nope, Goldtooth circles away and we're back to standing. Goldtooth keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Goldtooth shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Alexander cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Goldtooth shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Alexander has Goldtooth pulled in close to control his posture. Alexander keeping moving, preventing Goldtooth from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alexander looking for a guillotine here but Goldtooth defends easily.
Alexander really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goldtooth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Alexander looks gassed! Alexander keeping moving, preventing Goldtooth from controlling successfully. Goldtooth could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Goldtooth throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Alexander keeping moving, preventing Goldtooth from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Antony Goldtooth wasn't doing enough on the ground. Alexander tries to move into range but Goldtooth moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Sean Alexander has been cut. Goldtooth looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Alexander! Goldtooth looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Goldtooth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Goldtooth breaks from Alexander's wrist control and lands an elbow. Goldtooth is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alexander can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Goldtooth swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Antony Goldtooth! A very excited looking Antony Goldtooth rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
