The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calaway closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Calaway content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Conture's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Calaway tries to clinch up. Calaway walks into a stiff left hand from Conture. Calaway slaps away a takedown attempt from Conture, before circling back to the center of the mat. Calaway lands a big head kick that sends Conture tumbling to the mat! Calaway takes a step backwards and waves Conture back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Sultan Conture has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Calaway listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Conture scores with a kick to the body.
Conture with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Calaway to score with a decent uppercut.
Conture is rocked! Calaway takes the fight into the clinch. Calaway is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calaway tries to work over Conture's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Calaway goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Calaway pulls guard effortlessly. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Conture has gone for a leg lock! Calaway slips out almost immediately though and dives into Conture's guard. Conture is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Calaway defends well. Calaway trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Conture preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Calaway postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Conture had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Calaway defends it easily. Calaway chips away with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conture is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Conture seems to be looking for submissions.
Conture is looking for a kimura but Calaway is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Conture to get the leverage. Conture is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Calaway is defending against the submission attempts here by Conture.
Conture is pressing down on Calaway's thigh, looking to free his foot. Calaway is holding on for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Calaway scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Calaway breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Conture is defended easily by Calaway. Calaway scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Conture is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Calaway moves in looking to clinch but Conture pushes him off. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Conture shoots in for a double leg but Calaway sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Calaway misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Urijah Calaway dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sultan Conture's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Conture counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Calaway! Conture goes for an armbar but Calaway turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Calaway. Calaway lands a couple of decent looking shots. Calaway is working Conture over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Conture escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Calaway gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Conture is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Calaway is aware though and is defending well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Calaway content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Conture lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Calaway! Calaway bucks up and throws Conture to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
That's one minute gone in the round. Calaway shoots in and bounces Conture off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Calaway is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Conture is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Calaway is aware though and is defending well. Conture has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Calaway can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Calaway avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Calaway keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Conture's head. Conture keeping full guard, as Calaway tries to pass. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Calaway's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Calaway looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Conture can't hide his disappointment, as Calaway celebrates the victory.

Urijah Calaway very nearly forgot to thank O'Brannigan's Fightwear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Layfield on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Roberts tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Roberts lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Roberts scores with a shot to the body.

Roberts lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Layfield circles away quickly and effectively. Layfield gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Roberts. Roberts drops Layfield with a beautiful combination! Layfield stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Roberts is looking for the KO!

Rock is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet! Oh Rock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rock on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Blanco Rocha! Rock is out on his feet! Blanco Rocha rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rock is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rock is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Williams tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murphy was well out of range. Poor timing from Williams. Murphy just misses with a punch to the body.
