Lafleur steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Amparo.
Amparo thumps Lafleur with a low kick.

Amparo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lafleur.
Lafleur avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lafleur leaves Amparo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Amparo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lafleur stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Simpson lands a head kick. Votrov smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Simpson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Votrov fails with a takedown attempt.
Simpson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Votrov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Simpson quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Simpson tries to roll over but Votrov keeps him under control.
Votrov passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Simpson!

I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruthless Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Capone might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Godfather Theme Song. Ruthless Junior will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

He tries to recover but Junior pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Capone is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
