Jack is trying hard to land a takedown here. Colby sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jack tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Colby swivels and escapes.
Colby stuffs the takedown attempt from Jack. Jack gets slowly back to his feet.
Jake Colby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sambo Jack.
Colby tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jack manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Colby throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jack's waist but Jack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Colby off to one side.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jack can do anything to dispel that myth.

Colby gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Colby looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jack is trying to stand.
Jack tries to get to full guard but Colby has control of the leg.

Colby is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Jack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Colby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jack shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Colby but Colby pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Colby tries to avoid it but Jack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Colby to the ground. Colby escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jack looks gassed!

Colby feints and as Jack raises his hands in defense, Colby changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Colby defends it easily.

Colby decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Colby slaps away a takedown attempt from Jack, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jack fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

so Colby counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Colby is in close to Jack's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Colby is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
