The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knees throws a head kick that misses. A combination from Williams does no damage. Williams slaps away a takedown attempt from Knees, before circling back to the center of the mat. Williams looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Knees throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely. Williams misses with a two punch combination.
Williams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Williams wants it to stay on the feet. Williams misses with a series of wild punches.
Williams looks gassed! Knees misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Knees rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Williams dodges the punch combination from Knees.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Knees throws a solid leg kick but Williams takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Knees. Williams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Knees has time to react. Johnson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Maka's guard. Maka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.

Maka is working an open guard so Johnson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Johnson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Maka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Maka dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Maka's head and hops out. Maka circles away from the clinch attempt and Maka counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Maka looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Maka to score an easy takedown into full guard. Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Maka drops back, looking for a kneebar! Johnson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Johnson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Johnson! Brad Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Al Naber wants it to stay on the feet. Pray looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Al Naber shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Pray misses with a combination

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pray has his takedown stuffed and Al Naber counters with a series of strikes. Pray will be more careful next time no doubt. Pray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Al Naber tries to avoid it but Pray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Al Naber to the ground. Al Naber escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pray is breathing heavily. A right-left combo lands from Al Naber. Pray blocks a head kick by Al Naber.

It looks like Greek Gyros has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Putin connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Gyros tumbling to the canvas! Putin pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Gyros was done - good stoppage!
