The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ibragimov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rainbow. Rainbow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rainbow is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rainbow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rainbow tries to free his leg and advance position but Ibragimov is retaining full guard. Rainbow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ibragimov as he jumps to the side. Ibragimov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ibragimov showed some decent athleticism there. It looks like Ibragimov is going to stand back up.

Ibragimov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rainbow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ibragimov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rainbow is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ibragimov defends well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ibragimov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rainbow has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ibragimov is looking to defend but Rainbow has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ibragimov! Rainbow pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ibragimov taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Robert Aata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aata shoots and misses and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Thomas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aata defends it well. Thomas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aata's head. Thomas is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Thomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Aata moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Thomas throwing strikes from guard but Aata blocks nicely. Aata is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Thomas postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Aata is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Thomas throws an elbow that misses. Aata uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Thomas's guard. Nice move by Aata! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aata in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Thomas trying to keep a closed guard but Aata is proving a slippery customer.

De Souza Da Lima steps into range and cracks Bobbertson with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Bobbertson flops backwards and De Souza Da Lima dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Bobby Bobbertson has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. De Souza Da Lima is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. De Souza Da Lima really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bobbertson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bobbertson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De Souza Da Lima doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bobbertson is tightening it up a little... De Souza Da Lima has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! De Souza Da Lima reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook moves in looking to clinch but Dir pushes him off. Cook looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dir is fending him off so far but Cook persists. Nope, Dir circles away and we're back to standing. Dir closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cook to the mat! Cook manages to get full guard. Cook trying to control the position.
Cook is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dir is controlling him. Dir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cook is keeping the position for now. Cook keeping moving, preventing Dir from controlling successfully. Dir throws a big right hand that misses. Dir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cook. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dir pushing down on Cook's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cook looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dir seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Dir is trying to control. Cook wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Cook takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Cook manages to get back to half guard. Cook tries to roll over but Dir keeps him under control. Dir not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear tries to bum rush Vatuvei with a series of wild strikes but Vatuvei uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bear has managed to clinch.
Vatuvei has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bear is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bear gets underhooks to prevent Vatuvei's takedown attempt.
Bear pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bear is looking to clinch. Bear clinches up against the cage. Vatuvei has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bear is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manu Vatuvei. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bear manages to break the clinch.
Bear fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vatuvei, pushing him back against the cage. Bear breaks the clinch.

Bear's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bear throws a right and a left that both miss. Bear jabs Vatuvei to the body, keeping him at a distance. Vatuvei shoots in and bounces Bear off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vatuvei loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Vatuvei stops Bear from standing up. Bear wriggles free and stands up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vatuvei misses with a takedown attempt and Bear counters with a series of strikes. Vatuvei will be more careful next time no doubt. Vatuvei takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bear throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vatuvei stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bear is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bear paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Nice uppercut lands for Bear. That snapped Vatuvei's head back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Bear prevents the takedown attempt.

Vatuvei misses with a takedown attempt and Bear counters with a two punch combo. Bear lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Vatuvei takes one on the button. Bear digs a good body shot into Vatuvei's ribs. Vatuvei shoots and misses and Bear counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vatuvei misses with a takedown attempt and Bear counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bear scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vatuvei doesn't seem bothered though. Bear thuds a left hand into Vatuvei's body. Pedo Bear is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bear tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Danga de danga de dang - Bear scores with a four punch combination! Bear is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Vatuvei rather than just go for the knockout. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bear tries to clinch there but Vatuvei circles away.
Bear looks to land a combination but Vatuvei avoids it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bear checks a leg kick. Vatuvei with a poor takedown and Bear counters with a left and a right that stings Vatuvei. Vatuvei misses with a takedown and Bear counters with a two punch combo. Vatuvei gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bear counters with a left to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manu Vatuvei. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bear lands a nice shot to the body.
Bear fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vatuvei looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Bear lands a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear throws a nice looking combination but Vatuvei bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Manu Vatuvei is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bear throws a combination. Vatuvei tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Bear cracks Vatuvei with an open hand slap. Vatuvei shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bear counters with a nice body shot. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bear. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Bear moves in looking to clinch but Vatuvei pushes him off. Vatuvei misses with a takedown and Bear counters with a series of strikes. Vatuvei will be more careful next time no doubt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bear tries to close the distance and clinch but Vatuvei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bear rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vatuvei moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bear closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Manu Vatuvei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vatuvei looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Bear breaks the clinch.

Pedo Bear is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Bear moves into the clinch.

No luck for Gubiev with that takedown attempt. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gubiev has eaten all the pies! BDown fails in his attempt to clinch. Gubiev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? BDown is fending him off so far but Gubiev persists. Nope, BDown circles away and we're back to standing. A telegraphed right hand from Gubiev misses the target. BDown closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A short left from BDown.
That's one minute gone in the round. BDown lands a shoulder strike. BDown makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. BDown scores with a nice hook to the head. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Gubiev wants a takedown.
Shogun BDown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zaur Gubiev. BDown drops Gubiev onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gubiev is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

He has hold of a leg but Numa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. de Souza persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Numa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from de Souza. Numa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. de Souza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. de Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Numa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Numa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from de Souza. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! de Souza throws a strike but Numa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Numa trying to control here.
