The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellison drives through and clinches with Deep against the cage.
Ellison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ellison moves into the clinch. Ellison gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Deep working for submissions but it's allowed Ellison to get to half guard.

Deep gets tackled into the cage by Ellison. Ellison maintains the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Ellison creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Deep's defenses.
It looks like Balls Deep has been cut. Ellison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Deep is fighting it off but Ellison persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Deep's guard against the cage. Ellison landing with the ground and pound. Deep had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ellison defends it easily. Ellison must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ellison stands up and waves to Deep to follow him. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ellison closes the distance and clinches. Ellison has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Deep to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ellison is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Deep pulls down on the head and he's put Ellison to sleep! This one is all over!

Bader thowing shots but they're missing. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dukan can do anything to dispel that myth. Dukan is trying to stand up. Bader scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dugre checks a leg kick. Phillips throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dugre. Dugre slips a straight right by Phillips. Phillips throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A big left from Phillips misses. Phillips thuds a left hand into Dugre's body. Dugre showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Phillips.

Phillips throws a looping overhand right but Dugre ducks down to avoid it. Stone Phillips seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phillips throws a combination that misses and Dugre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Phillips is looking to stand up but Dugre isn't so interested in that idea. Phillips keeping moving, preventing Dugre from controlling successfully. Dugre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Phillips tries to bum rush Dugre with a series of wild strikes but Dugre uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A big right from Phillips misses. Phillips looks to land a body kick but Dugre moved away. Phillips rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dugre moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dugre takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Phillips connects with a body shot that sends Dugre's belly button to the back. Dugre looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stone Phillips dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ehavoc Dugre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A looping hook to the body misses from Phillips. Dugre does a little dance to reset his feet. Dugre checks the leg kick. Phillips feints a jab promting Dugre to slip. Phillips then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dugre slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Phillips fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tacos swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Glover does a little dance to reset his feet. Glover pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Crunch! Tacos slams his shin into Glover's torso. Glover throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Glover throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Glover loads up on a big right hand but Tacos slips the punch. Glover stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Glover wants it to stay on the feet. Tacos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tacos throws a body kick that misses. Tacos misses with a takedown attempt - Glover sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jason Glover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elizondo Tacos. Tacos tries to bum rush Glover with a series of wild strikes but Glover uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tacos with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Glover to counter with a crisp jab. Glover tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tacos throws a series of strikes that have Glover backpedaling.

Tacos misses the shot to the body. Glover lands a nice looking body kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Glover takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tacos shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tacos is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tacos frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Glover is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A shot to the body from Tacos misses and Glover counters with a slapping leg kick. Tacos moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Glover explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Glover feints a jab promting Tacos to slip. Glover then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tacos goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Tacos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Elizondo Tacos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Nice sprawl there from Glover as Tacos shoots in. Horrible takedown by Tacos or perhaps it was just good defense by Glover which made him look bad. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A slow jab from Glover misses its intended target. Jason Glover has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tacos blocks a head kick by Glover.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jason Glover. Well Tacos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. A head punch on the inside from Makkara fails to land. Piston tries to pull guard but Makkara forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Makkara lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Piston backwards. Makkara tries to throw a body punch but Piston avoids it by throwing Makkara back against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Makkara.

Makkara scores with a shot to the side of Piston's head. Makkara lands a nice uppercut. Piston throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Piston changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Makkara fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nakki Makkara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Piston. Piston fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Piston shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Makkara pinned against the cage. Makkara gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A lazy left from Makkara finds it's target. Piston drops his hands momentarily and Makkara takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Piston is rocked! Piston takes a body punch but keeps moving. Piston looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! Makkara connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Piston tumbling to the canvas! Makkara pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Piston was done - good stoppage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! SparBJJ doesn't succeed with the takedown and Silva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva drops an elbow to the side of SparBJJ's head. Silva winds up and cracks SparBJJ with a swinging punch to the side of the head. SparBJJ kicks Silva off and gets back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! SparBJJ looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Silva working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because SparBJJ has passed into half guard!
