The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Itaniemi drops his hands momentarily and Da takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Arvo Itaniemi has been cut. Da swinging wildly here.

Itaniemi misses with a low kick as Da jumps back. Itaniemi throws a push kick but Da slaps the foot to one side. Itaniemi misses with a left hand and Da makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Da uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Itaniemi.

Arvo Itaniemi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Da lands a left and a right that send Itaniemi crashing to the mat, dazed. Da thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Da works Itaniemi's body with a nice hook. Itaniemi is breathing heavily. Da lands a big uppercut and Itaniemi crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Itaniemi looks OK. Da waves Itaniemi back to his feet!
Itaniemi is rocked! A big right followed by a crushing left from Da knocks Itaniemi out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karma moves to clinch but Kunt breaks away letting Kunt counter with a right hand. Kunt lands a leg kick that knocks Karma off balance momentarily. Kunt cracks Karma with a good jab. Kunt cracks Karma with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karma misses with a head kick.
Kunt connects with a looping right hand.
Kunt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kunt throws a low kick but Karma moves out of range easily. Karma has managed to clinch.
Karma has had enough of the clinch but Kunt keeps him there for the moment. The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Karma fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kunt lands on the inside with an uppercut. Kunt cracks Karma with a nice body shot. Karma is breathing heavily. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Kunt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kunt moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kunt misses with a body kick. Kunt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Karma doesn't seem bothered though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kunt connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Karma! He's out on his feet! Kunt rushes in and drops Karma with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oxide thows a body kick. Ali tries to catch it but that hurt him. Ali avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ali throws a jab but it's blocked by Oxide. Oxide tries to land a front kick but Ali steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ali is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oxide. Oxide throws a combination that misses and Ali counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Oxide connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ali. Ali circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ali fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pentti Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ali lunges at Oxide with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Oxide's hand. Ali throws a hook to the side of Oxide's head but Oxide sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Oxide misses with a hook. Ali ducked under it nicely. Oxide keeps Ali at a distance using the push kick. Ali smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ali tries to close the distance and clinch but Oxide swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ali tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Oxide was well out of range. Poor timing from Ali. Oxide lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

It looks like Pentti Ali has been cut. Oxide lands the left hand. Oxide feints a jab and as Ali dips his head, Oxide unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Ali right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Ali falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the ropes! Oxide smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

A big left from Straikker misses. Cartnell gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cartnell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Straikker can pounce on him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cartnell takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Cartnell might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Straikker has got the better of the exchanges. Straikker delivers a nice body kick. Straikker listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Straikker tries to close the distance and clinch but Cartnell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Cartnell in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Straikker scores with a sloppy right hand. Cartnell should have avoided that one. Bailaaja throws a chopping leg kick but Moottoripaa manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Bailaaja scores with a kick to the midsection. Bailaaja ducks under a wild hook from Moottoripaa. Bailaaja throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Moottoripaa checks a low kick from Bailaaja. Moottoripaa gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Moottoripaa thows a left - swing and a miss! Moottoripaa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bailaaja has hold of Moottoripaa's hands but Moottoripaa slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bailaaja is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Moottoripaa scores with a couple of nice shots. Bailaaja looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Moottoripaa lands a nice short elbow.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by The Moottoripaa. A decent looking body kick lands there for Bailaaja. Moottoripaa takes a swing at Bailaaja's ribcage but misses. Bailaaja looks for the body kick but Moottoripaa saw that one coming. Moottoripaa doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bailaaja counters with a body kick that stops Moottoripaa in his tracks momentarily. The fighters circling - Moottoripaa throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bailaaja lands a leg kick that knocks Moottoripaa off balance momentarily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bailaaja. Bailaaja explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bailaaja buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
