The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stein looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Cheesara is trying to stand.
Stein is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cheesara sees it coming and defends easily. Cheesara is staying active underneath Stein, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cheesara looking for submissions off his back. Cheesara wants to get back to his feet.
Cheesara pushes Stein off but Stein dives into side control.
Stein working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Stein is trying to get an arm triangle but Cheesara is defending well. Cheesara tries to improve position but can't.

Stein has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Cheesara wants to get back to his feet but Stein drags him back down. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cheesara can do anything to dispel that myth. Cheesara is looking for a sweep. Cheesara tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Cheesara manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Cheesara showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stein.
Stein looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cheesara!

Stein can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cheesara is looking to escape. Cheesara keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stein moves to the back position. Stein lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Cheesara hold on?!

Cheesara should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Cheesara defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Stein's arms. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marlo Stein is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cheesara throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stein counters with a body kick that stops Cheesara in his tracks momentarily. Cheesara is breathing heavily. Stein dives in and grabs Cheesara's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cheesara pushes down on Stein's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marlo Stein. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cheesara misses with a wild body shot. Stein will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Stein tries to land a front kick but Cheesara steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Stein looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Stein tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

It looks like Wilhelmet Cheesara has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cheesara scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Cheesara is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Stein rather than just go for the knockout. Cheesara takes a swing at Stein's ribcage but misses. Stein closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cheesara circles away. Cheesara throws an ugly left hook that misses
so Stein counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Stein advances position into side control! Cheesara is trying to buck Stein off. Stein in side control lands a decent elbow.

Cheesara is working an open guard so Stein takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Stein is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cheesara can do to turn this around? Cheesara takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Stein lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Cheesara throws an overhand right that lands on Stein's shoulder, as Stein tries to avoid the shot. Cheesara takes a kick to the side of the head. Cheesara avoids a kick to the body.

Stein pulls guard effortlessly. Cheesara trying to control the position from guard on top but Stein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stein working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cheesara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cheesara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cheesara throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stein works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

You can't force these things though and Cheesara defends well. Stein bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cheesara's guard. Stein prevents Cheesara from getting back to his feet. Cheesara looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stein with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Stein is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Stein seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cheesara for as long as he can get away with.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Devil tries for a takedown but Djocovito sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nice takedown defense from Djocovito. No joy for Devil on that attempt. Djocovito shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Devil manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Djocovito is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Djocovito stopping the sweep attempt from Devil. Devil has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Djocovito can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Djocovito postures up and lands a big shot to Devil's brow. Devil has a closed guard, preventing Djocovito from standing up. Devil wants to sweep but no luck. Djocovito landing with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Devil is trying to control the position but Djocovito postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Devil looking to hit a scissor sweep but Djocovito is one step ahead there. Devil wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Djocovito accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Djocovito throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Devil lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Djocovito! Devil jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Djocovito manages to avoid the submission attempt. Devil wants to lay and pray for a moment but Djocovito keeps working.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Djocovito is looking to stand up but Devil isn't so interested in that idea. Djocovito looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Devil puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Devil lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Djocovito keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Djocovito wants to control but Devil is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Djocovito has one foot on Devil's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Djocovito swings for the body but Devil moves out of range.
Devil has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Djocovito. Horrible takedown by Devil or perhaps it was just good defense by Djocovito which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for God Devil. That's going to take a lot out of him. Devil scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A looping hook to the body misses from Djocovito. Devil does a little dance to reset his feet. Devil shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Djocovito pinned against the cage. Djocovito gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Djocovito swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That was a close round but I would say that God Devil will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Djocovito drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Devil takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Devil is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Djocovito working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Devil gets back to half guard. Devil is pressing down on Djocovito's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Devil tries to land a sweep but no joy. Devil keeping full guard, as Djocovito tries to pass.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Djocovito jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Devil looking to hit a scissor sweep but Djocovito is one step ahead there. Devil pulls Djocovito in close to prevent any damage. Devil avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Djocovito postures up and lands a big shot to Devil's brow. Djocovito lands a couple of elbows. Devil is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Djocovito wants to control from the top but Devil keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Djocovitois looking to pass into half guard but Devil pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Devil is in guard. Djocovito is looking to stand up but Devil isn't so interested in that idea. Devil cracks Djocovito with a solid left hand. Djocovito is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Devil trying to control the position from guard on top but Djocovito is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Djocovito is looking for a triangle here but Devil uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Williams is in See's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as See works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Williams drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and See dives on top into guard. Williams is trying to keep See in close.
Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. See gets to his feet. Williams looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! See misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Williams was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
