3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cheese Head! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Otou Hek! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Head connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Hek to the floor! Head dives in looking for the finish!
Hek is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Head is trying to work for a kimura but Hek is defending well.
Hek is still in real trouble! Can Head finish him? Head is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Head seems to be working for a kimura but Hek defends the submission attempt. Hek is defending against the submission attempts here by Head.

Hek seems to have recovered his senses. Head wants to work for an arm triangle but Hek is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Head is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hek reverses the position - he's now on top in Head's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Head has his foot on Hek's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hek works his way back into a safe position though. Head is trying to control the position but Hek postures up. Hek thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Head working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hek manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hek cracks Head with a solid left hand. Hek is working Head over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Head escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Head is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hek pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Head is keeping the position for now. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hek's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hek working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Hek keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Head's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Hek postures up in Head's guard and throws a big left but Head blocks it. Hek got a little sloppy there for a moment and Head has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hek has managed to get both his arms back between Head's legs - danger averted. Hek throws a big elbow that misses. Head looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Head escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hek lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Head is looking for a triangle but Hek pushes his legs off easily.
Hek makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Head knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hek on the ground. Hek throwing strikes but missing. Hek is working Head over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Head had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hek defends it easily. Hek is looking to work some ground and pound but Head has wrist control. Head is looking for a triangle but Hek pushes his legs off easily.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Hek jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hek connects with a couple of short punches. Head is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hek is aware though and is defending well. Head looking for a guillotine here but Hek defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hek slips nicely into half guard. Head moves into full guard.
Hek cracks Head with a solid left hand. Hek is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Head is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Head has escaped and now he's on top! Head won't allow Hek to sweep him here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Head has gone for a leg lock! Hek slips out almost immediately though and dives into Head's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cheese Head dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Head throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hek counters with a three punch combo that has Head backing up. Head nods at Hek to acknowledge the strikes. That kick from Head tenderised Hek's leg. Hek is trying to keep his angry face on. Nice body kick there by Head. Head stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Head wants it to stay on the feet. Whack! Head lands a heavy head kick that drops Hek. The ref tackles Head to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Hek was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Cheese Head!

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Beast Rabban was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rabban changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Castrogiovanni tries to avoid it but Rabban manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Castrogiovanni to the ground. Castrogiovanni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Castrogiovanni blocks a head kick by Rabban.
Castrogiovanni throws a lazy right hand but Rabban sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Rabban shoots and misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Rabban is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rabban shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Rabban stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Castrogiovanni swivels though and keeps the full guard. Castrogiovanni looking to control.

Rabban seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Castrogiovanni does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bader is looking to pass into half guard but Blast pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Blast is in guard.

Blast postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bader keeping moving, preventing Blast from controlling successfully. Blast throws a big elbow that misses. Blast pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bader is keeping the position for now. Blast trying to control but Bader is working from the bottom.

Let's see if Bader can do anything to dispel that myth. Blast trying to control the position from guard on top but Bader is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. James Blast wasn't doing enough on the ground. Blast fails to land the takedown. Blast shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bader as he avoids it easily. Bader closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Blast quickly recovers to half guard. Blast is trying to maintain the position but Bader is very close to passing his half guard. Bader wants to take a breather but Blast is having none of it.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blast bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bader 's guard. Blast drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Blast as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Bader screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Blast! Nice submission victory there!
