The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Curmi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fanny moves into the clinch. A knee to the head by Curmi.
Fanny tries to work over Curmi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Fanny can't break the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the ropes. Fanny tries to break free but Curmi pushes him back against the ropes. Fanny takes an elbow to the forehead. Curmi lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Fanny. Curmi tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Fanny avoids it. Fanny jumps guard but Curmi stands there with Fanny around his waist. Fanny gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fanny pressing his opponent against the ropes. Curmi trying to control the position but instead, Fanny has worked for underhooks and has pushed Curmi into the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fanny lands with a left to the head. Fanny is looking for a takedown. Fanny tries to circle away but Curmi has him pinned against the ropes. Fanny ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fanny no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Fanny is breathing heavily. Curmi trying to control but Fanny is working from the bottom. Curmi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fanny. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fanny lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Curmi! Curmi tries to reverse the position but Fanny maintains control. Curmi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fanny tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Fanny throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fanny punishing his opponent with strikes. Curmi is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mondeux misses with a straight right. Thompson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Mondeux paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A big right from Mondeux misses. The fighters circle momentarily. Mondeux darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Mondeux lands a jab to the head.
Thompson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Mondeux lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A swing and a miss from Mondeux. Thompson takes one on the button. Thompson fails in his attempt to clinch. Mondeux's jab looks to have found its range, popping Thompson under the eye. Mondeux throws a hook to the side of Thompson's head but Thompson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A decent looking cross lands there for Mondeux. Mondeux is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Mondeux with a jab. Thompson shoots for a takedown but Mondeux saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mondeux misses with a looping right. Thompson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mondeux. Renee Mondeux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Mondeux. No joy for Thompson on that attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mondeux works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Mondeux lands a jab to the nose. Nice cross by Mondeux. Mondeux lands with a cross. Mondeux connects with a crisp jab. Mondeux uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Mondeux lands with a straight right. Thompson didn't see that one coming. Thompson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Mondeux bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Thompson's head backwards. Mondeux lands a jab to the head.
Mondeux looks to throw the jab but Thompson is out of range. Mondeux jabs Thompson right on the nose. Thompson blinks but takes it well. Mondeux works the jab nicely. Thompson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Thompson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Mondeux throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mondeux connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Mondeux lands a glancing blow to the side of Thompson's head. Nice defenses there by Thompson. A lazy left from Mondeux finds it's target. A left lands for Mondeux. Mondeux swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mondeux is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Mondeux works the jab nicely. Renee Mondeux is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jab by Mondeux. A jab from Mondeux finds it's way through Thompson's defenses.
Thompson is rocked! Thompson ducks right into an uppercut from Mondeux. Thompson is still on wobbly legs! Can Mondeux finish him? Mondeux scores with a nice right hand.
Mondeux lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Thompson falls backwards - clearly groggy! Mondeux dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

After the fight, Renee Mondeux was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Black lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bot has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bot and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. No joy there for Black, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Black swats away the attempt to clinch by Bot. Black fails to land with a series of punches.
Black scores a takedown into full mount! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bot can't escape the position.
Bot regains half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Black winds up and cracks Bot with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Bot is defending against the submission attempts here by Black.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bot trying to control here.
Black is pressing down on Bot's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bot is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black wants to control but Bot is keeping him busy. Black working the head and body with strikes. Ground and pound from Black. Black lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Black scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bot keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Black connects with a nice short shot to Bot's temple. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Black lands a nice short elbow. Black with the ground and pound but Bot uses the opportunity to regain guard. Black lands a couple of digs. Black lands a couple of decent looking shots. Bot preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Black is in close to Bot's body, working some short punches and elbows. Bot keeping moving, preventing Black from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Black working some strikes from top position. Black cracks Bot with a solid left hand. Black missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Black trying to control but Bot is working from the bottom. Black with a flurry of punches that miss. Black throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bot works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bot keeping moving, preventing Black from controlling successfully. Black scoring with punches to the head and body. Black has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Black pushing down on Bot's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Black moves nicely into side control. Black tries for a kimura but Bot is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Black looks up at the clock and then as Bot takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Black smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Bot is pushing Black's head away, looking to escape. Black manages to hold on to the position though. Black landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
It looks like Sonny Bot has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Black lands an elbow. Black is putting a hurting on Bot here, landing some big shots from side control. Black in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Bot looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Black turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Black! After winning the bout, Jack Black thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Koloff missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hellion tries to roll over but Koloff keeps him under control. Koloff is just content to waste time from the top position. Hellion takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Koloff would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Koloff throws an elbow that misses. Hellion uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Koloff's guard. Nice move by Hellion!

Leonidas leaves Franklin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Leonidas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Franklin. Franklin shoots in and drives through. Leonidas sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Franklin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Franklin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A combination from Leonidas does no damage. A momentary lapse in concentration from Leonidas enables Franklin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Leonidas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Franklin scoring with punches to the head and body. Leonidas looks gassed! Leonidas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Franklin. Leonidas keeping full guard, as Franklin tries to pass. Franklin works over Leonidas with some ground and pound from guard.

Franklin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Leonidas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Franklin has Leonidas in his guard. Franklin is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Leonidas has his hands clasped together but Franklin extends an breaks Leonidas's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Franklin.

Lombard is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Roode couldn't care less - he's delighted!

That's one minute gone in the round. Rickenbacker v.2 stalling in the clinch but Torres improves position. Rickenbacker v.2 breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rickenbacker v.2 tries to close the distance and clinch but Torres swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rickenbacker v.2 misses with a body kick. Rickenbacker v.2 lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
A head kick from Rickenbacker v.2 lands but Torres takes it in his stride. Rickenbacker v.2 closes the distance and clinches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rickenbacker v.2's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rickenbacker v.2 putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Torres in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Torres is breathing heavily. Rickenbacker v.2 gets control of Torres's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rickenbacker v.2 will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Rickenbacker v.2 looking for a sweep. Not yet Rickenbacker v.2, not yet. Torres wants to control from the top but Rickenbacker v.2 keeps moving. Torres slows down the pace of the fight for a moment.
