The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roger lands with a kick to the ribs.

It looks like Danny Violator has been cut.
Violator moves out of range as Roger throws a body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Violator crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Roger - the referee stops the clock and Violator gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Roger. Violator manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Roger lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Roger tries to land a front kick but Violator steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Violator bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Roger's face as Violator controls the position.

Violator wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roger keeps working.
Roger regains full guard. Nicely done.

Roger is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Violator defends well.
Violator stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Roger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Roger scores with a nice body kick.

Violator drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Roger is trying to control Violator's posture but Violator avoids it.
Violator advances to mount.

Violator avoids the attempt from Roger to control.
Violator trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Roger is looking to improve his position but Violator isn't that keen on the idea.
Violator pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Roger wants to control but Violator is having none of it.
Roger sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Roger throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

He's locked it up tight! Violator's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Roger picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
