The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortimer attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Leet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mortimer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mortimer swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mortimer throws a low kick but it's checked well by Leet.
Leet misses with the combination.
Mortimer lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mortimer, right into the meat.
Mortimer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mortimer lands a nice looking kick to the body. Leet takes a step back to recover.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Leet takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Jet Leet has been cut.
Mortimer tries to work over Leet's front leg with a kick but Leet checks it.
Mortimer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Leet manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Leet counters with a straight right hand.
A left lands for Leet.

Leet is breathing heavily.
Mortimer lands a leg kick that knocks Leet off balance momentarily.
Nice body punch from Mortimer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mortimer throws a low kick, looking for Leet's leg but Leet calmly moves out of range.

Leet's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mortimer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Leet scrambles back to his feet.
Mortimer explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Mortimer throws a chopping leg kick but Leet manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Leet counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mortimer throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Mortimer connects with the punch.
Leet throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mortimer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leet paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mortimer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mortimer lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mortimer misses with an uppercut.
Leet swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mortimer lands a leg kick that knocks Leet off balance momentarily.
Mortimer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A big left from Leet misses.

Mortimer lands a big head kick that sends Leet tumbling to the mat! Mortimer takes a step backwards and waves Leet back to his feet - he wants the finish!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Mortimer! Leet is out on his feet! Mortimer rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Leet is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Leet is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
