Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Harrison might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to sox. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison has his takedown stuffed

and James counters with a nice double leg into guard.
James with a nice head shot there.

Harrison looking for a guillotine here but James defends easily.
James slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Maynard has cracked Forrest with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Maynard lands another huge swinging hook and Forrest tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Forrest, before Maynard can land any more shots!

Attrick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fritz tries to avoid it but Attrick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fritz to the ground. Fritz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fritz has a takedown stuffed.
Attrick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fritz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Attrick eats them both and turns towards Fritz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fritz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Attrick swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fritz shoots in for a double leg but Attrick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fritz tries for a takedown but Attrick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lopez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moorhead sprawls well initially but Lopez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Moorhead is controlling Lopez 's trapped leg to prevent Lopez from advancing to side control.
Moorhead tries to roll over but Lopez keeps him under control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Oh but Moorhead is tightening it up a little... Lopez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lopez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lopez taps out! Nice BJJ there by Moorhead!
