Deep wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Justine, who protects the arm well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Deep has hold of Justine's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Justine tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Deep cranks the arm and Justine screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Justine, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Johnny Deep!
A relieved looking Johnny Deep thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Bot is nestled in close to Yaptangco, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Yaptangco is still in real trouble! Can Bot finish him?
Yaptangco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bot. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Martin Cash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cash shoots in for a takedown but Rome shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rome defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cash.

Rome cracks a nice hook into Cash's ribs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rome throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rome throws a lazy right hand but Cash sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Rome fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Cash is breathing heavily.

and Rome counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rome throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cash stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cash looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cash. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Rome lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Cash can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Rome and Cash drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Rome.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morgan, as that shot connected.

Sissoko is trying to push Morgan away but Morgan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Sissoko digs a right hand into Morgan's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Morgan's gas tank.
Morgan has had enough of the clinch but Sissoko keeps him there for the moment.

Morgan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sissoko is fending him off so far but Morgan persists. Nope, Sissoko circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
