Steve Austin dives in looking to finish as Saruwatari flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Steve Austin's strikes! Steve Austin is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Saruwatari's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Saruwatari was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Dias throws a nice looking combination but YJ bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
YJ throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dias throws a jab when YJ was well out of range.
YJ shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dias as he jumps to the side.
Dias misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dias waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract YJ.
YJ changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dias tries to avoid it but YJ manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dias to the ground. Dias escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
YJ is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dias sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

YJ finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Dias's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and YJ falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeda leaves Nakamura with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Takeda keeps Nakamura at a distance using the push kick.

Nakamura closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Takeda is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nakamura has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Nakamura is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Takeda is trying to get back to his feet.
Takeda avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nakamura.
