Vargas has chosen desperado theme song as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stephan Dubois! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juancho Vargas! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dubois misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Dubois misses with a looping right. Some wild striking there from Dubois.
Vargas is looking to clinch but Dubois is avoiding it.
Dubois fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vargas ducks right into an uppercut from Dubois. Dubois blocks a head kick by Vargas.
Vargas throws a half hearted mid kick. Dubois changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vargas tries to avoid it but Dubois manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vargas to the ground. Vargas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dubois feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vargass jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Dubois swings widly with a right hand
and Vargas counters with a head kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dubois swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dubois pushes Vargas up against the cage in a clinch. Dubois lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Dubois is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Vargas has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dubois clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dubois is really stuck here.
Vargas wants to control but Dubois is keeping busy. Vargas gets his hands free as Dubois looks to control. Dubois tries to escape the position.
Dubois is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vargas doesn't have the hooks in and Dubois manages to turn into his guard.
Dubois working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Vargas keeping moving, preventing Dubois from controlling successfully. Vargas keeping full guard, as Dubois tries to pass. Vargas trying to keep a closed guard but Dubois is proving a slippery customer.
Dubois content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dubois missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Dubois won't allow Vargas to get back to his feet. Vargas looks gassed! Dubois content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dubois makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Vargas keeping moving, preventing Dubois from controlling successfully. Dubois stands and throws Vargas's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dubois working the ground and pound. Dubois has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dubois lands an elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dubois trying to control the action but Vargas is working from the bottom. Vargas takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dubois cracks Vargas with a big right hand but Vargas just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Dubois landing a few strikes. Dubois is trying to get an arm triangle but Vargas is defending well. Dubois is looking to take a break and control but Vargas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vargas takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dubois landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Dubois is working Vargas over with some ground and pound from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dubois's corner calls for a 1-2. Dubois obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Dubois feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vargass jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Dubois darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Dubois working the head and body with strikes. Dubois is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vargas defends it well. Vargas is in trouble now - Dubois has advanced to mount! Dubois unloading with bombs! This has been an exciting period of action! Dubois looking to secure an arm triangle but Vargas defends it well. Vargas is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dubois punishing his opponent with strikes. BOOM! Dubois connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dubois breaks from Vargas's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Vargas is rocked! Dubois looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Vargas covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephan Dubois! Stephan Dubois tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lohkie's waist but Lohkie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grey off to one side. Grey takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Lohkie throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Grey is breathing heavily. Lohkie connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Damon Grey has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lohkie lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Grey falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vulture tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moss paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vulture looks to land a body kick but Moss moved away. Moss closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Vulture tries to kick Moss off but Moss keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Moss wants to pass the guard but Vulture is defending well. Vulture on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vulture tries to get out of the position. Moss is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Vulture reverses the position - he's now on top in Moss's guard. Vulture scoring with punches to the head and body. Vulture with a flurry of punches that miss. Moss is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vulture got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moss has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vulture has managed to get both his arms back between Moss's legs - danger averted. This has been an exciting period of action! Vulture throws an elbow that misses. Moss uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vulture's guard. Nice move by Moss!

Moss is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vulture is just riding it out for now. Moss eventually gives up the hold. Moss wants to free his trapped foot but Vulture is holding on for dear life with his legs. Moss frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Vulture really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Vulture is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Moss is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Moss gets in close and tags Vulture with a short punch that almost sends Vulture to the mat! Oh Vulture is in big trouble! He turns his back on Moss, trying to create some distance but Moss rushes him, striking wildly and Vulture goes down! The referee tackles Moss into the cage to end the fight! Moss is one violent man!

Johnson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Barry decides to pull guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barry works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Barry wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Johnson landing with the ground and pound. Barry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Johnson throws an elbow that misses. Barry uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Barry!

Those have got to be taking their toll on Barry's gas tank. Barry is fighting off a takedown attempt but Johnson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Barry to the mat. Barry regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Johnson throws a big elbow that misses. Barry keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass. Barry is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea. Johnson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Barry avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Barry decides to take the fight back to the feet. Chubby Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barry feints and then cracks Johnson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johnson down. Johnson gets a clinch. Barry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Barry pulls guard. Barry avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Patrick Barry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Barry feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johnson's calf. Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Barry closes the distance and clinches. A nice right hand lands inside from Johnson. Barry is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Barry is trying to stall.
Barry is trying to push Johnson away but Johnson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Johnson struggles to land a body shot inside as Barry controls his hands.

Johnson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Barry puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johnson is trying to maintain the position but Barry is very close to passing his half guard. Barry tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chubby Johnson wasn't doing enough on the ground. Barry rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Johnson slowing the pace effectively. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barry looking for a takedown. Johnson tries a body shot but Barry blocks it.
Chubby Johnson has scored more points in the clinch so far. Johnson throws a head punch that misses. Johnson avoiding damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Venetiaan enables Nasri to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Venetiaan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Venetiaan is on top in guard.

Venetiaan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nasri moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Venetiaan connects with a body shot that sends Nasri's belly button to the back. Venetiaan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Nasri is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Venetiaan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Nasri walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Frank Nasri's cut is getting worse. Venetiaan connects with a body shot. Venetiaan throws a left that rocks Nasri and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Venetiaan dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Nasri regain composure!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasri is trying to escape the position but Venetiaan is controlling the position. Oh Nasri is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Venetiaan decides to stand back up. Nasri seems to have got his legs back now. Venetiaan jabs at Nasri's body. Nasri drives through with a takedown into guard. Venetiaan has his hands on Nasri's head, controlling the position. Nasri has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Venetiaan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Venetiaan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Venetiaan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Venetiaan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nasri sees it coming and defends easily. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Venetiaan in particular looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Desi Venetiaan was stalling too much, according to the referee. Nasri drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Venetiaan can do anything to dispel that myth. Venetiaan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Nasri wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Venetiaan slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Venetiaan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Venetiaan gets his hands free as Nasri looks to control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Venetiaan just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Desi Venetiaan. Venetiaan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nasri looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Venetiaan drops Nasri with a right and a left! Venetiaan comes rushing in but Nasri regains his composure and manages to keep Venetiaan in guard.

Rodgers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mann fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rodgers throws a leg kick but Mann moved away. Rodgers tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Mann counters with a left to the body. The fight stays on the outside here - Rodgers looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rodgers throws a push kick but Mann slaps the foot to one side. Plouffe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Stinson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Plouffe. Stinson tries to clinch up. Nice uppercut lands for Plouffe. That snapped Stinson's head back.

I think Callaway might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Scraped . The crowd seem to be enjoying Mtarawira's choice of entrance music: the beast tribute. On his way into the cage it seems that Randy Callaway has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Randy Callaway seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tendai Mtarawira! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callaway leaves Mtarawira with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Callaway lands a body shot.
Mtarawira fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mtarawira shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Callaway sprawls well. Callaway wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mtarawira gets slowly back to his feet. Randy Callaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tendai Mtarawira. Callaway's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mtarawira under the eye.
It looks like Tendai Mtarawira has been cut. A nice inside leg kick there by Callaway. That's going to slow Mtarawira down. A jab lands there for Callaway. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mtarawira stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Callaway. Good leg kick by Callaway there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mtarawira looks gassed! Callaway scoring well with a low kick there.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Callaway.
Nice body punch from Callaway. Callaway throws a nice inside leg kick. Mtarawira takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mtarawira takes one to the chin there. Callaway uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mtarawira has time to react. Callaway comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Callaway lands a nice shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Callaway throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mtarawira stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Callaway scores with a shot to the body.
Mtarawira is trying desperately to land a takedown but Callaway is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Mtarawira. A solid leg kick lands there for Callaway.
Callaway scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Callaway. That's going to slow Mtarawira down. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mtarawira tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Callaway lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mtarawira's sensitive parts. Callaway scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Callaway listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Mtarawira takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

An inside leg kick lands from Callaway. Callaway scores with a hook to the body. Mtarawira takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Callaway cracks the inside of Mtarawira's front leg. Callaway thumps Mtarawira with a low kick. Callaway thumps Mtarawira with a low kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Callaway. Randy Callaway is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Callaway lands a jab. Callaway is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Callaway lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Callaway is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Callaway.
Callaway is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Callaway displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mtarawira. Callaway connects with a body shot that sends Mtarawira's belly button to the back. Callaway throws a nice inside leg kick. Callaway lands with an overhand left. Callaway cracks Mtarawira with a good jab. Mtarawira's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Mtarawira with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Callaway to score with a decent uppercut.
Mtarawira is rocked! Callaway slaps away a takedown attempt from Mtarawira, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mtarawira is still on wobbly legs! Can Callaway finish him? Callaway fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. BOOM! Callaway lands a beautiful left hook that drops Mtarawira. Mtarawira tries to recover but Callaway is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Mtarawira lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randy Callaway! Randy Callaway really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Empire Threads - The Best $15 You've Ever Spent! logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prime comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Prime throws a right and a left that Melkonyan avoids nicely. Prime misses with a body kick. Prime misses with a left hand and Melkonyan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Melkonyan wants to land a leg kick but Prime is out of range. Prime tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Melkonyan is able to avoid easily. Prime throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Melkonyan misses with a straight right. Melkonyan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Melkonyan misses with a body shot.
Prime buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Melkonyan is breathing heavily. Good leg kick by Prime there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Melkonyan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Prime drops Melkonyan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Melkonyan looks back up at him and smiles so Prime waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Melkonyan is rocked! Prime circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Melkonyan tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Prime wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Optimus Prime! Optimus Prime retains his heavyweight title! An out of breath Optimus Prime thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
