Battle is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Big L work. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brzydota lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Balanko has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Balanko and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Hitachi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Lipkin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Black throws out the jab.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Black enables Lipkin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Black manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
