The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pitbull has taken the fight to the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Pitbull takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Byvalyi is defending well against a takedown attempt. Pitbull goes for a takedown attempt but Byvalyi pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Alan Pitbull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pitbull shoots in for a takedown but Byvalyi shows good takedown defense. Borya Byvalyi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Pitbull. Pitbull shoots in but no luck this time. Byvalyi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pitbull in his tracks. Pitbull slips a jab and a cross from Byvalyi.
Pitbull throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Byvalyi was covering up waiting for the punch and Pitbull finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice takedown defense from Byvalyi. No joy for Pitbull on that attempt. Pitbull dives in and grabs Byvalyi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Byvalyi pushes down on Pitbull's head and hops out. Byvalyi lands with a nice combination. Pitbull backs away looking to recover. Pitbull slips a jab from Byvalyi.

Pitbull tries to score a power double leg takedown but Byvalyi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pitbull somewhat. Pitbull takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Pitbull is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pitbull changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Byvalyi tries to avoid it but Pitbull manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Byvalyi to the ground. Byvalyi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pitbull throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Byvalyi's waist but Byvalyi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pitbull off to one side. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Byvalyi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Byvalyi cracks a nice hook into Pitbull's ribs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pitbull throws a hook to the side of Byvalyi's head but Byvalyi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Byvalyi clobbers Pitbull with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Pitbull clinches up against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Pitbull. Byvalyi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. The referee calls for Pitbull to work.

Pitbull has hold of one of Byvalyi's legs. Byvalyi is fighting the takedown attempt but Pitbull gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Pitbull stands up from guard. Let's bang! Pitbull shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Byvalyi napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Byvalyi is looking to regain half guard here but Pitbull keeps moving and retains side control. Pitbull controls the position. Byvalyi is looking for a sweep. Pitbull stands up and beckons Byvalyi to his feet. Pitbull fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Byvalyi wants to control from the top but Pitbull keeps moving.

Pitbull pulls Byvalyi in close to prevent any damage. Byvalyi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Byvalyi is looking to work some ground and pound but Pitbull has wrist control. Pitbull lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Byvalyi! Byvalyi is squirming around, avoiding Pitbull's attempts to control the action. Byvalyi tries to reverse the position but Pitbull maintains control. Byvalyi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pitbull is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Byvalyi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Byvalyi shrugs it off. Byvalyi is wriggling around trying to escape.

A nice right hand lands inside from Byvalyi. Byvalyi lands an uppercut. Pitbull is still on wobbly legs! Can Byvalyi finish him? Byvalyi drops Pitbull with a big right hand! Byvalyi charges in looking to finish - Pitbull manages to keep Byvalyi in his guard and seems to have recovered somewhat.
Pitbull utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pitbull keeping moving, preventing Byvalyi from controlling successfully. Pitbull pushes Byvalyi off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Byvalyi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Pitbull is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Byvalyi fails to land with a series of punches.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Pitbull. Byvalyi throws a combination. Pitbull tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Byvalyi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pitbull is defended easily by Byvalyi. Pitbull seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Byvalyi shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Pitbull is backing up but Byvalyi catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Pitbull covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Byvalyi Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Markstrom wants to clinch up but Condit keeps it at a distance. Condit closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Markstrom to the mat! Markstrom manages to get full guard. Markstrom looking to control.
Condit has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Condit is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Markstrom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Condit doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Condit manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Condit controlling from the top position. Markstrom pushes a forearm under Condit's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Condit is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Wright closes the distance and clinches up with Ruutu, looking for a takedown. Wright pushes Ruutu against the cage but Ruutu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ruutu showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wright.

Oh but Wright is tightening it up a little... Ruutu has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ruutu reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ruutu taps out! Nice BJJ there by Wright!

Long lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Long throws a right hand that Solomon ducks under and follows up with a left that Solomon also avoids with ease. Solomon just misses with a punch to the body.
