The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fullington scores with a shot to the body.
Kiuga throws a right and a left that both miss. Fullington scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Kiuga on the wrong end of a nice hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fullington moves in looking to clinch but Kiuga pushes him off. A looping hook to the body misses from Fullington. Kiuga does a little dance to reset his feet. Kiuga works Fullington's body with a nice hook. Kiuga lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fullington circles away quickly and effectively. Toa Kiuga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fullington missing with a left hand there. Kiuga was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kiuga misses with an uppercut. Fullington saw that one coming. Fullington connects with a single shot there. Kiuga ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Fullington circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Kiuga tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Fullington wins by KO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Luiz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Nice sprawl there from Luiz as Smith shoots in. Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Smith cracks Luiz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Smith gets tackled into the cage by Luiz. Luiz maintains the clinch. Smith is fighting off a takedown attempt but Luiz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smith to the mat. Smith regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Smith has his foot on Luiz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Luiz works his way back into a safe position though. Luiz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Smith is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Luiz defends it easily. Smith has a closed guard, preventing Luiz from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luiz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Luiz defends well. Luiz chips away with some ground and pound. Smith looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Luiz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Smith, up you get! Smith shoots in for a double leg but Luiz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aj Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Luiz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Luiz keeps moving and retains side control. Smith is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Luiz decides to stand back up. Luiz steps back and let's Smith get back to his feet. Smith swings for the body but Luiz moves out of range.
Luiz moves into range and clinches up with Smith. Luiz lands a takedown into guard.
Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Luiz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Luiz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Smith is rocked! Luiz fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Smith square on the jaw! Damn, Smith is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abieezer gets a double leg takedown into Back's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abieezer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Back wants to stand up but Abieezer is controlling him. Abieezer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Back is keeping the position for now. Abieezer looking to sit in guard and control but Back gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Back avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Licud tries to land a front kick but Chen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Chen fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ryder closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ryder is trying to get an arm triangle but Liddel is defending well. Ryder looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ryder trying to control the action but Liddel is working from the bottom. Liddel is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Liddel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ryder's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ryder's back! Ryder trying to control the hands but Liddel breaks the grip. Ryder rolls, trying to escape but Liddel keeps control of the position.
Ryder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Liddel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Liddel trying to control. Liddel is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Ryder has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Liddel has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Ryder taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. That's one minute gone in the round. CanChopper throws a nice looking combination but Bri bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. CanChopper tries to score with a low kick but Bri moves his leg out of the way. CanChopper lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Bri catches CanChopper with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Bri on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by CanChopper. CanChopper obviously looking to wear him down.
CanChopper misses the shot to the body. Good shot there by CanChopper. CanChopper lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ameri CanChopper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! CanChopper lands with a slapping head kick. CanChopper throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
CanChopper connects with an inside leg kick. Bri takes a kick to the side of the head. Bri is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. CanChopper throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bri stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bri gets tackled into the cage by CanChopper. CanChopper maintains the clinch. CanChopper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
CanChopper steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bri. CanChopper throws a nice outside leg kick. CanChopper lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. CanChopper looks to throw the jab but Bri is out of range. Bri moves in looking to clinch but CanChopper pushes him off. Oooooh!!! CanChopper has knocked Bri down with a huge combo! CanChopper steps away and waves a wobbly Bri back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Bri is rocked! Bri on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Oh Bri is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A nice inside leg kick there by CanChopper. That's going to slow Bri down. A decent looking body kick lands there for CanChopper. CanChopper lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Bri has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by CanChopper. CanChopper scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A head kick by CanChopper - that's a beauty! Bri is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even CanChopper can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ameri CanChopper! Ameri CanChopper is the new heavyweight champion!
