Taylor throws a combination. Mask tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Taylor keeps the fight on the outside.
Mask keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Taylor.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mask.
Taylor throws a poor cross that misses
and Mask counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mask has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jesse Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mask tries to clinch but Taylor moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Taylor. Mask does a little dance to reset his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mask looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Mask feints a jab promting Taylor to slip. Mask then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Taylor slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

enabling Mask to counter with a crisp jab.

Taylor shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mask is trying to defend but Taylor finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mask tries to get to full guard but Taylor has control of the leg.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Taylor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mask is just riding it out for now. Taylor eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Tiger Mask will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Taylor keeping moving, preventing Mask from controlling successfully.

Taylor isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mask stacks Taylor on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mask!

Taylor throws a series of punches but Mask avoids them all with ease.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab from Mask finds it's way through Taylor's defenses.
Mask displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Taylor throws out the jab.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Taylor crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mask - the referee stops the clock and Taylor gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mask. Taylor manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Taylor is breathing heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mask swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mask tries to close the distance and clinch but Taylor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Taylor on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mask connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Mask moves into range and clinches up with Taylor.

Mask gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Mask prevents a takedown attempt there.

Jesse Taylor's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee is keeping an eye on Mask - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Funkyama scores with a hook to the body. Smith takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Funkyama fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Funkyama scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Funkyama lands the left hand.
Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Funkyama throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Funkyama pushes him off.
Funkyama throws a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Funkyama throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Funkyama wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Funkyama tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Funkyama lands a jab-cross combination.

Smith is rocked!
A punch lands to the side of Smith 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Funkyama gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Prince Funkyama was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bodies/Drowning pool. Victor Caffey will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Caffey connects with a nasty looking knee right to Gracie's face.
Caffey lands an elbow that stopped Gracie in his tracks for a moment.
Gracie is trying to stall.
Caffey gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Kirk Gracie's cut is getting worse.
Caffey is looking to control Gracie's arms but Gracie gets an underhook and turns him. Now Caffey has his back to the cage.

Caffey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Caffey which made him look bad.
Caffey throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Caffey enables Gracie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Caffey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gracie pushes down on Caffey's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Gracie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Caffey defend it? Gracie steps over the head and cranks it - Caffey is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gracie!

Ridgeon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Davis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ridgeon, into his guard.

Ridgeon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davis manages to get himself to full guard.
Ridgeon stands and throws Davis's legs to the side, diving into side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
