I think Georgsen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to O Fortuna. Linkke is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Anamanaguchi - Helix Nebula. Linkke has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Horst Linkke has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Georgsen moves in looking to clinch but Linkke pushes him off.

Georgsen has control of Linkke's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Linkke regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Georgsen has hold of Linkke's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Linkke manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Linkke is fighting off a takedown attempt but Georgsen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Linkke to the mat. Linkke regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Linkke holds on and takes a little breather.

Georgsen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Linkke dives on top into guard.

King attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Sting closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sting prevents King from standing back up.
King manages to get to full guard.
Sting passes King's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Sting has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can King defend it? Sting steps over the head and cranks it - King is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sting!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hektor Bombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manres comes into the arena with Aqualung - Jethro Tull blaring out of the sound system. Bombard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bonaparte - Boycott Everything . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Manres's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Bombard runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Bomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Sabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bomb might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Casino Royale Soundtrack - You Know My Name. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Sabre!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabre throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bomb sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sabre misses with a body punch
and Bomb counters with a head kick.
Bomb throws a head kick that misses.
Bomb looks to throw a body kick
and Sabre counters with a nice uppercut.
Sabre misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bomb.
Bomb throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sabre.
Bomb cracks Sabre with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sabre fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sabre tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bomb scores with a leg kick.
Bomb throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Sabre throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
James Bomb is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sabre has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sabre manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Sabre misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sabre pushes Bomb back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Sabre lands a nice elbow.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sabre.

Bomb's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Good leg kick by Sabre there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sabre lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sabre fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bomb avoids it really well and circles away.
Sabre scoring well with a low kick there.

Bomb will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bomb misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sabre.
Bomb cracks Sabre with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sabre throws a lazy head kick
and Bomb finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Bomb takes one to the side of the head.
Sabre looks to score with a jab to the body but Bomb is just out of range.
Bomb doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bomb throws a solid leg kick but Sabre takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bomb.
Bomb defending well as Sabre loads up on a big left hand.
Bomb thumps Sabre with a low kick.
Sabre throws a low kick but Bomb moves out of range easily.
Bomb scores with a decent looking hook.
Sabre looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Bomb feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sabres jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Sabre sizes up Bomb with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bomb connects with a high kick.
Sabre changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bomb. That's going to slow Sabre down.

Bomb lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sabre jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Sabre counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Sabre looking to finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sabre trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Sabre gets to his feet - Bomb follows without any prompting.
Bomb is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Bomb tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sabre is able to avoid easily.
Sabre lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bomb at a distance.
Sabre wants to land a leg kick but Bomb is out of range.
Bomb throws a sloppy head kick
and Sabre counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bomb is rocked!
Bomb is breathing heavily.
Sabre lands with a good body shot.
Oh Bomb is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bomb throws a head kick that misses.
Sabre scores with a body shot.
Bomb drops his hands for a split second and Sabre immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Bomb face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Sabre follows up with a right hand that knocks Bomb into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Matt Sabre!
Matt Sabre seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
