Baduk tries to clinch up but Stalin circles away and keeps his distance.
Some bone on bone action there as Baduk checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

It looks like Sergei Baduk has been cut.
Baduk tries to close the distance and clinch but Stalin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Messing enables Lesnariano to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Messing manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Messing is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kovrov throws a series of punches but Oven avoids them all with ease.

Oven moves out of range as Kovrov throws a body kick.
Kovrov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kovrov misses with a wild combination.

Kovrov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oven circles away quickly and effectively.
Oven seems to have recovered his senses.
Oven swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oven takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Oven scores with a nice right hand.
Oven moves away from the strike by Kovrov.
Oven is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Kovrov moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexsandr Kovrov!
