The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Funky circles away quickly and effectively.
Maxwell stalks Funky and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Funky's face. Funky staggers backwards, shaken.
Funky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Funky wants it to stay on the feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Maxwell!
Maxwell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Funky stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Maxwell leaves Funky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Maxwell's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Maxwell duly obliges.
Funky tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
