Delo Santos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Last Resort. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hopachai defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Drake. Drake feints and as Hopachai raises his hands in defense, Drake changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hopachai has Drake pulled in close to control his posture. Drake won't allow Hopachai to sweep him here. Drake working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Drake tries to free his leg and advance position but Hopachai is retaining full guard. Drake working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Drake throws a big right hand that misses. Hopachai working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Drake. Drake being controlled here momentarily. Drake throws a big right hand that misses. Hopachai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Aphachai Hopachai has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hopachai looks to clinch and Drake counters with a stiff right hand. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Drake is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hopachai's shoulder. That is not cool. Hopachai wants to get back to his feet but Drake drags him back down. Hopachai sneaks back into half guard. Hopachai is looking for a sweep. Drake is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Drake wants to take a breather but Hopachai is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hopachai blocking the ground and pound attempt from Drake. Drake missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Drake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hopachai is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hopachai tries to clinch but fails miserably and Drake decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hopachai's guard. Hopachai utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hopachai is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Boo keeps control of the position for the meantime. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boo is pressing down on Duxx's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Boo pulls Duxx in close to prevent any damage.
Silver Boo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Duxx takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Duxx tries to clinch but Boo is having none of it. Boo throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Boo lands with a nice body punch. Duxx doesn't manage to clinch there - Boo circles away.
