The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdulgani throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nunes's waist but Nunes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Abdulgani off to one side.

Nunes has instead reached around Abdulgani's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nunes arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Okinawa tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Obusan counters with a solid body kick.

Okinawa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Obusan counters with a crisp one two that drops Okinawa! Obusan thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Okinawa to his feet! Okinawa is in big trouble!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Okinawa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Obusan avoids it really well and circles away.

Myron Obusan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fujitsu Okinawa.
No joy there for Okinawa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Okinawa is trying desperately to land a takedown but Obusan is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Okinawa.
