Chrome lands with an overhand left. Armstrong uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chrome. Chrome tries to bum rush Armstrong with a series of wild strikes but Armstrong uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Chrome throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Chrome misses with a wild body shot. No joy there for Chrome, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Chrome connects with a crisp jab. Chrome misses with an uppercut. Chrome is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Armstrong moves out of range as Chrome strikes.

Armstrong drops his hands momentarily and Chrome takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Chrome with a hook. Chrome stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Chrome scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Armstrong doesn't seem bothered though. Chrome scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Chrome thuds his right hand into Armstrong's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Armstrong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chrome.

Chrome tries to bum rush Armstrong with a series of wild strikes but Armstrong uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Chrome throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Armstrong sees it coming and avoids it easily. Chrome fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Armstrong manages to avoid it. Chrome throws a combination. Armstrong tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Armstrong shoots in looking for a takedown. Chrome tries to sprawl out of it but Armstrong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chrome manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Armstrong slips a jab from Chrome. Chrome lands a jab to the nose. Chrome takes a swing at Armstrong's ribcage but misses. Armstrong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hugh Armstrong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chrome keeps the fight on the outside. Armstrong tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chrome sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Armstrong somewhat. Chrome misses the shot to the body. Armstrong on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Armstrong steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chrome. Chrome bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Armstrong's head backwards. Armstrong is looking to clinch. Armstrong takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice defenses there by Armstrong. Chrome swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Chrome misses with a wild body shot. Armstrong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Armstrong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chrome paws at him with a jab and circles away. Armstrong shoots for a takedown but Chrome saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Chrome looks to land a combination but Armstrong avoids it well. Chrome tries to bum rush Armstrong with a series of wild strikes but Armstrong uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nat Chrome is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Armstrong is defended easily by Chrome. Hugh Armstrong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Armstrong moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Armstrong takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

It looks like Bradley Jones has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jason preventing the sweep. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Jason defends easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson wants to clinch but Steel slips to the side and Steel counters with a nice body shot. Jackson thows a body shot but no joy. A head kick misses from Jackson. Steel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jackson back to the cage. Steel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Jackson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action! Steel moves into range and clinches up with Jackson. Steel manages to break the clinch.

Steel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Steel throws a head kick that misses. The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Steel pushes Jackson up against the cage in a clinch. Jackson is looking to break free of the clinch but Steel has double underhooks. Steel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Steel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Norman Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jackson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Steel to score with a decent uppercut. Steel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Steel lands with a punch from half guard. Ground and pound from Steel. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Steel connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple. Nice strikes from Steel there. Steel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jackson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jackson has hold of Steel's hands but Steel slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Steel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Steel lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Steel landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Steel has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jackson defend it? Steel steps over the head and cranks it - Jackson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Steel!

Hardwick clinches. A quick uppercut on the inside from Hardwick. Beasly takes a shot to the head. Beasly changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hardwick fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Beasly takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Moorhead uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hammer. Moorhead throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hammer's waist but Hammer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moorhead off to one side. Hammer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hammer moves in looking to clinch but Moorhead pushes him off. Moorhead tries for a takedown but Hammer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hammer thows a body shot but no joy. Hammer throws a nice looking combination but Moorhead bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Moorhead closes the distance and clinches up with Hammer, looking for a takedown. Moorhead pushes Hammer against the cage but Hammer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Greg Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craven Moorhead. Hammer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moorhead paws at him with a jab and circles away. Moorhead fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hammer tries to clinch but fails miserably and Moorhead counters with a takedown into side control. Moorhead looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Moorhead trying to control the action but Hammer is working from the bottom. Moorhead is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hammer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Moorhead gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hammer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Moorhead lets go of the hold and Hammer can pop his arm back in it's socket.
