14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Gigantor Tremendous! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silakka pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Tremendous looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silakka is fending him off so far but Tremendous persists. Nope, Silakka circles away and we're back to standing. Tremendous shoots in for a takedown but Silakka shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tremendous fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Timo Silakka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gigantor Tremendous. Tremendous tries to move into range but Silakka moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Tremendous uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silakka. Silakka connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Tremendous closes the distance and pushes Silakka back into the cage. Silakka has had enough of the clinch but Tremendous keeps him there for the moment. Silakka pulls guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Tremendous distracts Silakka with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Silakka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tremendous defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tremendous controlling from the top position. Tremendous is in close to Silakka's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tremendous forces his way into half guard. Silakka looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Tremendous lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Tremendous passes to full mount! Tremendous takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Silakka controls the position. Tremendous has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silakka's face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silakka is trying desperately to improve position. Silakka takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Tremendous wants to control the pace but Silakka is squirming around nicely. Tremendous with good strikes from the mount here! Tremendous looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Silakka is in a horrible position here. Tremendous smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
It looks like Timo Silakka has been cut. Tremendous pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bloodgood fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thai manages to avoid it. Bloodgood checks a low kick from Thai. Thai misses with an uppercut. Bloodgood saw that one coming. Bloodgood avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bloodgood thows a leg kick but Thai checks it and Thai counters with a low kick, right behind Bloodgood 's knee. Bloodgood cracks the inside of Thai's front leg. Thai fails with a takedown attempt. Nice cross by Bloodgood. Bloodgood scores with a jab. Thai acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Bloodgood throws the left hand but Thai avoids the punch easily. Thai fails in his attempt to clinch. Bloodgood finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A big left from Thai misses. Thai throws a solid leg kick but Bloodgood takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thai. A leg kick checked by Thai. Thai thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bloodgood if he has to take too many more of those.
Tatau Bloodgood is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thai attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Bloodgood scores with the left hand. Thai knows he should have avoided that one. A chopping leg kick lands by Bloodgood. Thai thows a leg kick but Bloodgood checks it letting Bloodgood counter with a right hand. Bloodgood throws a lazy right hand but Thai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bloodgood throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Thai counters with a head kick. That will keep Bloodgood thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Thai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bloodgood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thai. Thai on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Bloodgood moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tatau Bloodgood dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mike Thai's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bloodgood takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Bloodgood has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bloodgood has a couple of punches blocked by Thai.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie cracks Menger with a good jab. Menger swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gracie counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Menger thinking. Menger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Menger throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Gracie lands with an overhand left. Gracie slips under a jab. Gracie cracks Menger with a right hand to the side of the head. Menger tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gracie is able to avoid easily. Gracie throws a jab when Menger was well out of range. A momentary lapse in concentration from Menger enables Gracie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Menger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Menger throws a nice elbow from the bottom. Gracie throws a big elbow that misses. Gracie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Menger wants to improve his position but instead Gracie has moved into half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sachz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Arthur Pandora seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sachz lands the left hand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Funakoshi stalks Hussain and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hussain's face. Hussain staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Saddam Hussain has been cut. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Funakoshi misses with an uppercut. Hussain saw that one coming. Funakoshi loads up on a big right hand but Hussain slips the punch. Hussain fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Funakoshi. Horrible takedown by Tretiak or perhaps it was just good defense by Coe which made him look bad. Tretiak tries for a takedown but Coe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Coe throws an overhand right that lands on Tretiak's shoulder, as Tretiak tries to avoid the shot. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tretiak. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coe tries to bench press Tretiak off him but Tretiak keeps the position. Coe is trying to buck Tretiak off. That was a close round but I would say that Cy Coe will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Coe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tretiak circles away quickly and effectively. Tretiak has a takedown stuffed. Coe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tretiak shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Coe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tretiak prevents Coe from getting back to his feet. Tretiak loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
