Son manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Buttercup on his heels. He'll look to pass Buttercup's guard now, I'm sure.

Son won't allow Buttercup to get back to his feet.
Buttercup knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Son on the ground.
Son is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Son stops Buttercup from standing up.
Son is pushing down on Buttercup's leg trying to pass to half guard. Buttercup is fighting to maintain full guard but Son has managed to sneak the leg through.
Son is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Son postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Buttercup looks a forlorn figure.

Son loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Buttercup scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Son land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Son stands and salutes the crowd.

Spurghoff closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Daniels's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Spurghoff not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Spurghoff's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Eagle Spurghoff wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Daniels seems to have recovered his senses.

Spurghoff has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Daniels uses from the top position.

Vegeta gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Vegeta tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Nunez is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Vegeta buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Vegeta!! Vegeta is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Nunez throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
