Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Donkey Kong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rashad Evans! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kong shoots in for a takedown but Evans shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Horrible takedown by Kong or perhaps it was just good defense by Evans which made him look bad. Evans scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kong takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Kong throws the kick towards the body but Evans avoids it. Evans showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kong.
Evans drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ground and pound from Evans seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Evans looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kong is avoiding damage well.
Kong gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Evans prevents Kong from standing back up.
Evans thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kong is trying to stand up here but Evans is controlling him well. Evans throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kong wants to improve his position but Evans is controlling well.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Evans not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Evans throwing strikes from guard but Kong blocks nicely. Kong keeping moving, preventing Evans from controlling successfully. Kong is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Evans throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kong works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Kong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Evans connects with a nice short shot to Kong's temple. Evans showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kong lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Evans! Kong is looking to stand but Kong has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Kong is rocked! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kong takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Evans's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Baeng throws a solid leg kick but Hyabusa takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Baeng. Baeng connects with a leg kick. Hyabusa looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Baeng fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hyabusa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Okoroji is trying to drag Farha to the mat but Farha just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Okoroji works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Farha wants to control the position but Okoroji says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Farha desperately trying to maintain half guard. Okoroji trying to mount his opponent but Farha defends it. The fighters are battling for position here. Farha manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Farha stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Farha cracks Okoroji with an open hand slap. Okoroji thuds his right hand into Farha's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Okoroji swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Farha counters with a three punch combo that has Okoroji backing up. Okoroji nods at Farha to acknowledge the strikes. Farha lands a really nice looking cross but Okoroji seems unphased.
